Weekly (every pilot): Get some reward to look at everything you already made (gates, stations, ships, etc).
For maintenance and intel on own property.
I'd like if SM can run blueprints of logic like a real docked version of logic - perhaps requiring equal idle logic blocks of that type.
You...
Words like "kill" or "banned" hurt the mind - too many negative associations.
Furthermore, "killing an NPC", which is currently a pure numbers-construct, is not like killing a human, even if graphics suggest that.
We should differenciate:
We can say "kill" when it relates to "removal of NPC"...
Vector shields bleed.
But all-sourounding skin-shields can block the little bleed afterwards.
You can have a charged vector shields and empty global shield.
But when bleed plays a role most likely you have an "assault shield" like:
First, your vector shield blocks 80%.
Secondly, a small global...
It would be nice to have a like-meter of suggestions.
Devs and staff team votes 1-10, so you even get feedback that your suggestion was not completely shit (gets only 2-4 points but less than 5) when not accepted. Then these suggestion could be used as roadmap. 8-10 is likely implemented, 5-7...
NuclearHolocaust Yes.
And yes, you can strip asteroids in a sec.
But why would you want that if it creates server lag spikes for everyone, when you need to travel from asteroid to asteroid for 2 minutes (average) anyway? When you travel 2 minutes, I plan maybe 40 seconds -1/3- as mining time...
I've recently thought about a fix. It is a proposal in suggestion-forum
https://starmadedock.net/threads/complete-refined-final-suggestion-on-how-to-fix-balance-issues.31129/
First, you have vector shields but they only block weapons until 20% damage is left.
Then you have either global shields...
How many shield or hull/advanced-armor blocks do you get in a hour or 10 on every server?
What are the most common settings?
Which ship sizes can you build from these ressources?
I am assuming, that you already build or got a good mining ship from someone else.
Not exactly a perfect one for...
Eh wat?
Let the complicated mechanis belong to military.
The easy ones to civilians and 6 civ (or 3 stealth / civ modded by pirates) win against a normal military one.
NOTE: We can add a grace-limit to mass. If a sector has less than a specified amount of military, it doesn't cause attention.
I think it would be great if multiple computers/weapons/reactors are encouraged on big ships, but not too many either.
A big ship may have 4 reactors, because if one fails it still works at over 70% efficiency.
If a big ship has some sort of super-gun, it should be firing-forward-only (or only...
But I don't see how it solves his problem.
In astronauth mode, you have a galactic up/down, and that's what should be fixed.
Ofc, you can turn your head only 40° downward or 80° upward (still archive more with eye-sight direction), but your whole body is free to rotate like any ship.
But sometimes it can be used for nice effects.
An observatory in your ship seeing through the own entity, like there is a camera installed outside the ship hull and a projector to that wall.
We should keep that bug, but trap it in special blocks.
Equip tertiary/specials (other than "overdrive" and "underdrive") and your ship is flagged as Military.
Use Dockables with 7/8 blocks being force-shields and it's Military too.
Military leaving territory will be PvP flagged and visible in the galaxy.
But you need to do a local scan to reveal...
I like blueprint filling too, but only if the blueprint gets heavier / more volume in cargo-crates through it.
It allows an easy "packaged" storage and transport management of unfinished ships and still requires a shipyard on the receiving end.
With 75% I meant ppls who take into consideration...
Title: Rotate fluids to replace them with other fluids via logic (water shields, hot/cold lava).
You have 5x5 block of water used for it's ästhetics instead of plex-doors or a force-field.
Perhaps players can already go through them, or they are still counted like hull blocks, not allowing...
Yes and all that info belongs together.
Telling less may cause ppls responding to it in a wrong way by not understanding the heritage line of a good game.
Its a double-edged sword.
You can neither tell less or more - and it's a narrow path including my argument here, but a neccessary one to get...
Using exploits cause lag. They are bannable.
An exploit is an exploit when 75% aggree of it being undesireable. (because it causes unneccessary lag compared to a feature that allows same, or because it needs (both technical or on-others) gambling to decide of availability).
Everything else is...
When I make ships, I want nice interior too.
But I also make efficient ships for tech proofs and comparison. Mostly with logic and now-ancient stealth + perma-cloak spagetty ships.
But I miss the building and modding aspect in SM.
1. e.g:
You can not easily define your own solar power plates -...
We should define the possible outputs.
Max 25% thrust bonus would mean that Component1 adds maybe 50% to 12.5% total but the other 50% you can only get by buffing all components to the maximum.
1/2 value = summarized buff (with diminishing returns), 1/2 value is lowest component (by...
