is your OS 32 bit ? ...
if not either use the new launcher in 64 bit version -> Launcher public beta!
or update your java manually to latest version in 32 bit and 64 bit -> Java Downloads for All Operating Systems

please get me the logfile log.txt.0 will do (removethe .0 part and drag and drop it in here)
I'll try to reinstall shortly and see if that fixes it. I have no indication as to what is causing it, but I do import/export BPs fairly regularly and maybe it's being caused by a problem with the blueprints.MacThule .. that logfile crashes in mid air without an error being logged. :/ ... are there two zips being created in the starmade folder ?
couldnt upload the file, too large. Heres the dropbox: Dropbox - log.txtHorribleHedgehog

soo, im not the most tech savvy person in the world, but my laptop has a geforce gtx 970m. Is the game not recognizing my graphics card?The_Onion ... you are using an Intel igpu and the frame buffers option is enabled (and i think its better tht it is) .. that is exactly the bug i did link . sorry nothing cant be done about that as of now.
You'll need to tell the your computer to use the 970m instead of the integrated intel card. I was able to do this in the Nvidia control panel. You must add what version you are using to run the game to the list. You'll then need to change it to use your "High Performance GPU"soo, im not the most tech savvy person in the world, but my laptop has a geforce gtx 970m. Found the same. My own miner dropped me to 1fps (from about 80) and shot my ping up to about 2000. Game is chewing connection as well. Everything feels laggy too regardless of FPS and whatever setting tweaks I do.Asteroids are barren now in terms of resources.
Me too. I'm running Win7 Pro x64 on and i7 with 4GB RAM though. Plus my video card is an old NVIDIA GeFroce GTX 480. :-(Same here, I'm also getting massive lag, "running out of memory" -messages and crashes if I try to do anything too taxing.
