I had a bunch of ideas.. then herr_phil (post above) totally stole all my good ones by travelling back in time and posting before I even read the thread. Then to rub it in he added more (which I hadn't thought of yet but will think of in a few hours) to exclude me from the conversation...

Updated to latest release. Still good fighter but less wing armor to reduce mass and increase maneuverability. Engines added (in place of blocks) to improve acceleration. Didn't tweak...

Current and works well. Seems to handle right (planet lift off speed matches how the movie 'feels' for engine power)...
More changes than can be easily noted, here are a few highlights:
Storage to storage transfer and sorting (put something in storage near docking and they sort into factory storage).
Factory works well now, still a power pig but fast.

I still think cargo storage should be linked to a 'defined' space/volume outside player storage (only because player storage changes would be terribly inconvenient). Not sure what the devs have planned but I would like to see ships affected by the mass/volume of the cargo they carry as cargo...
Harvesting can get a little dangerous. Using the previously unused lower space it now has much more powerful Heat-Seeking missiles (and more power reserves). Since you don't need to aim them it works well for running and firing. Camera modifications next version with the final interior polish.
The devs can set star detection ranges to whatever (inverse brightness). I do think though I'd have all ranges modified by scanner strength & efficiency (more blocks goes farther and higher efficiency moves up the level of detail). Love the idea of having a 'Faction Map' that all members...
A single heat-seeker missile added (19x missiles) with significant damage. It's not an offensive ship but chasing it is no longer healthy. No new camera yet and still the final lower floor to complete.
