No offense but its a game that you picked up explicitly while still in Alpha, not even Beta much less Release. You have to expect things will change at any time and for any reason as your playing a partially formed Work in Progress. I get that it sucks seeing a bunch of work be invalidated but...
I like pretty much all of this update and am very much looking forward to where things go from here. Unfortunately IRL has been eating my time lately so I haven't been able to muck about in SM nearly as much as I'd care for.
They are under Turret Axis block group. You still need a core for each part, but a rail rocker will lock onto the axis face just like it would a rail. The Bobby AI if I recall has to be on the 'barrel' segment and will automatically move around said axis points up to two degree's of movement...
Thats a valid question. Should warheads remain 'just' HE blocks or be recast as M/aM (or equivalent) devices? I'm leaning more towards them being the latter since otherwise they don't really make any sense personally.
This also has bearing on if useage should be possible by cloakers and/or if...
Adding an additional 'ore' type thats used primarily in Warheads as a key component could be interesting and would make such sources quite valuable. Doubly so if it took a LOT of raw ore to make a small amount of 'core material' or equivalent for a warhead block. It would make faction stockpiles...
Fleet AI improvements will be coming over time due to NPC faction stuff. That said I still maintain Schine could really use a dedicated (even if part time) AI dev.
That would be correct Mr Lecic. If true then it can be dealt with accordingly, if not then the issue is put to rest due to lack of evidence. In either case it will be resolved and we can move on to other things rather than remaining an open festering wound.
Perhaps the rest of the ships should be checked for similarities as well. Either to determine if there is indeed a pattern of replicated designs or if not to put the issue to bed.
Well if they're one of Skylords builds there should be plenty of mistakes you can exploit. ;) :D
*Btw the ribbing is in good nature if anyone else hasn't picked up on it.
I wouldn't mind the Dev's being able to get some field experience from the better builders in the community but the real question is of time. Any spent on doing as such just means less they have to devote to StarMade or other work seeing as many of them are currently part time.
I would be ok with higher damage warheads provided their expense in resources/manufacturing time is proportional. Plus the various collision glitches that let you do horrific things being fixed.
I've tried getting into that game multiple times but I cannot get past the (to me) quite horrid UI. Which is sad as it seems to have potential. Though if SM ever gets semi-liquid water provided it respected block boundaries we could easily make our own submersed stuff then. :)
I'm going to be brutally honest. As much as I like the Dev's even under these limitations they will get creamed by the more competent community builders much less by the real master builders. Entirely due to the fact while the Dev's spend a lot of time building and testing the game, the latter...
Well to be fair its to be expected that any ship made between now and Beta, player or Dev origin, will require at least one complete refit due to game changes and tweaks. Beta hopefully won't be as bad since that should be mostly balance changes and bug hunting.
Hello, I wanted to ask if there were any updated official'ish guidelines for server hosting? After doing a forum search the only one I could find dated back to 2014 and quasi-suggested looking to Minecraft server requirements as a loose guide for X sized player base. However due to being heavily...
