    Honestly, a lot of old ships work just fine for me. Other than missile-fighters nothing has really taken a hit performance wise that I've tried.

    I am curious. Ive seen all about what the update was for, yet no mention whatsoever about the 2 or 3 other downloads ive had to make in last 3 days...what were they what did they fix?

    What has changed with thrust?
    Power need has definitely gone up.
    I dont think its thrust itself, at least from what i've seen. Power seems to be an issue due to all ships weighing more across the board

    That would change thrust to mass ratio and slow down acceleration, it shouldn't make engines use more power.

    this change must have happened in in the last few iterations of the dev build before the patch as i always built in the dev version the last few weeks.

    Been pretty impressed with this update so far, but what I'd like to know is how I can display the ship hp and armor in a display module. No one's mentioned what the formatting is for that yet. Figured I'd ask one of the devs for that info since I haven't seen it anywhere on the forums yet. If it's in here already, then sorry, just point me to the right thread. Thanks.

    I've had to refit the engines and power caps on my main explorer as well as re-jig the cannons. My line ship wip had to scrapped as it was to heavy and to hard to jam. It seems that advanced armor weighs a ton which really bumped up the mass as well as all my turrets which also use advanced armor adding to all that (16 PD, 6 rapid missile, 5 long range missile). The easiest thing I've done so far was swap out advanced for standard in advanced build mode. My ship is now lighter, faster and better armed than before. The new constraints are really forcing me to innovate as far as ship design is concerned and I'm really loving it. Combat with no core popping means chasing down the enemy with cannons and I really see small fighter escorts as something I'd want. This patch was a step in the right direction despite some of the ongoing QQ.

    One suggestion: Can we set a max speed or max power for the engines? I have no issue with big thing moving slower I just wish I could reduce the max speed and not have to worry about going over the regen threshold while in combat.

    hey you know how my ship can "overheat" when it still has perfectly fine thrusters and generators that shouldn't stop functioning for any reason whatsoever?

    how do we fix that?

    Would you rather go back to the system where your ship overheats when a single block is heavily damaged instead?

    Most things don't function very well when you remove 50% of their total parts.

    Found a little bug today. Don't know if anyone else is having this problem or if its just me. The logic controlling the rotator block seems to be a little hinky since the update.
    I just built a big rotating piece and I find that after the thing rotates about 45 degrees, it triggers the activation block next to the rotator, then it jumps to the nearest 90 degree angle and continues rotating. I can't get a smooth rotation...

    IMHO we need a throttle. There has been a thruster rework in the works for a while but in the meantime a throttle would help much.

    Disable it in the configs and never see it again.

    I think he means his ship overheated without actually being damaged. Which I have sort of seen before (it was a big ship and things were lagging out like crazy, so I just assumed it took the HP damage but the block damage never rendered), but never been able to reproduce.

    I heard rumors that this has been happening to ships that are still there from before the update, maybe try saving your ships to the catalouge and get an admin to load them for you? I have no idea if that's the problem though, but if you're in a desprate situation you might wanna try this. :P
