      I'd like to at least see an extremely basic form of fleet control, just for the time being. Just a few simple commands like "follow" "wait" "go to" "hold fire" "fire at will" would be enough for me.

      I actually had a similar thought. I was going to see if I could hook up a light to a weapons computer and activation module to see if I could get the light to glow when my weapons fire. I think that'd be a pretty neat effect. The logic system is early days, though. I'm sure it'll be expanded upon.

      I set my sector size to 5000 and I love it. Wasn't aware it could go higher. I'd actually quite like to see the game designed around massive sectors. By this I mean that draw distances for planets and suns need to be much higher. Obviously planets will just be little specks in the distance...

      Wouldn't that make smaller weapon arrays completely useless? I like the current system of damage mitigation, and frankly I think it needs to be expanded upon, but damage thresholds are not the way to go. Shields used to have a damage threshold, and the game has benefited immensely since its removal.

      Doesn't work very well with beam weapons (I've not tried missiles). Turrets very rarely look directly at their rarget, and beams fire straight forwards, so all you get is a laser disco ball. Looks pretty, but they don't hit anything.

      I disagree. Fighters should have much faster acceleration, but larger ships should have a higher top speed. The number of engine blocks should dictate max speed - not the engine: mass ratio. The acceleration curve also needs to be changed to make large ships accelerate very slowly, and small...

      I'd like to see an option to disable shields, or disable their regeneration. Ultimately I'd like shields to have a constant drain on power (rather than only draining power when they recharge) but I don't think that's a popular idea. I've not had the problem you've described on any of the ships...

      I think the problem can be fixed by redesigning your old ships. Also, shields are massively OP at the minute. I think once ships optimised for the new weapons are built and the strength of shields has been suitably reduced, a lot of issues will be resolved.

      Shields should be weaker than pre-update. Having extremely tough shields was a necessity when capital ship guns had massive DPS and RoF. Capital ship cannons are now much closer to what I always wanted them to be. Huge damage, but a low RoF.
