Hm, I honestly never thought to do this with blocks... Wedges, maybe, but not blocks. This actually looks really cool, though. But as Cird said, too many random lights for me (Obviously, it's a stylisic decision, so to each their own.).
Personally, I'd like to see Romulan warbirds that can actually cloak... at the expense of a certain amount of shields and extra armor. (But that can still have a neat interior and whatnot.)
Yep. The SD-BB issue has to be fixed. IMO, they should go almost as fast as anything else but have a longer recharge period and perhaps some other limit...
Whoaaaa. New decorative blocks... Nice. However, what about the Charge Laser and whatnot? Are those still planned or has the system become all just universal fire-style modifiers now? (Which is still good)
...Oh, and the Mine Layers. Please tell me those haven't been scrapped. >.>
I totally want this, even if it means the occasional penis that shoots white lasers all over people... I could finally build energy crossbows and stuff. :3
Yeah, no idea... but I do know that PvEverything is about to get a LOT more interesting... Fighters flying around with explosive machine guns, massive turrets spraying piercing bullets all over everything...
I googled "Spaceship Building Game," because I couldn't find anything like that anywhere, and then on the fifth page or so I found a link to a forum topic that had a link to the Starmade site...
Then I played. I built. I instantly got hooked. :p
Because gravity elevators and plexlifters are part of the game, and they're supposed to work. Also, there's no good alternative... You can't automate ship flight, so ship-elevators are kind of meh.
Ah, since you hadn't specified and I didn't know about that, I had no idea... lol. Generally speaking, you should probably specify unless you mean ethanol. :p
Yep... it's worse with larger planets, too. I boosted my planet size up to double (which, generation issues aside, looks really nice) and the holes and walls and things got bigger as well. The planets are great, but still need refining.
I dislike speed limits for travel reasons - if anything, larger ships should be able to go FASTER than smaller ones, at least outside of combat. However, for combat balancing there should probably be differentiated in-combat and out-of-combat flight speeds... no idea how the actual mechanics...
For some reason, attempting to use gravity modules to change gravity (for gravity elevators, for instance) on a planet just causes you to disorient from the planet back to universal-down for a moment, then reorient back to planet gravity, rather than changing your gravity direction...
