Though it's a bit late to say this, I'd like to caution people against turning this into a detailing contest. Every inch of your station's surface doesn't need to be covered in grill vents, shield emitter arrays, antipersonnel turrets, deflector field stabilizers, microatmospheric material sensors, repair crew handholds, hyperspatial energy converters, heat-dump devices, particle emitters, external plasma relays, auxiliary power cells, spatial medium (Bussard) scoops, energy samplers, tertiary backup subspace antennae, energy climate sensor enclosures, external lighting features, REALLY WEIRD external lighting features, EXTREMELY WEIRD external lighting features, EVEN WEIRDER external lighting features, simulated windows, waste expulsion ports, exhaust manifolds, emergency microsolar cells, nanobot repair sites, warning/nav lights, structural pylons/scaffolding/other structural elements, microprobe launch bays, and reinforced bulkheads* just to be competitive. Remember, sometimes simpler is better... Often, too much detail (and too many strange lighting features) make things worse, not better.

*...Oh, and EVEN MORE really, really weird lighting features. :P
