Thank you for your interest, valued customer!

On that note, there will be a few variants of the Phantom released soon, each with different color schemes to suit pretty much everyone. I'll even throw in an extra one, just because it's Christmas... :P
    It'll be ready sometime today.

I've decided to update the Mercury II-class Command Corvette (which has been refurbished to Trinova Technologies' stricter standards).

    GET IT HERE.

And yes, I'm aware it's been over a month since I last touched this thread. I'll begin making regular updates again.
lol, 'strict standards', cool ship Jake! Cant wait to blow one up :p

We've uploaded a new ship, an updated version of a small shuttle, and an updated Travelpod!

The Crossbow-class is a small scout and patrol corvette with a small interior.

The Delta-class Dropship is an updated model of the dropship onboard the Mercury II-class.

And the updated Trinova Travelpod is a tiny shuttlepod and escape pod.

Because I'm in a generous mood, I've decided to release a somewhat experimental vessel of ours. Enter the Freedom II-class Assault Corvette!

Based on the same primary hull as the Mercury II-class troopship, it has been rebuilt as a front-line warship.

    AVAILABLE NOW!

Here comes another new vessel release! We thought the Hawk was long lost... not any more. Enter it's successor, the Falcon-class Patrol Corvette!

Optimized for fleet usage, the Falcon makes a great patrol corvette and is a viable alternative to our Hyperion and Phantom-class Corvettes. Featuring Trinova colours and Trinova-grade weapon systems, the Falcon is a powerful and versatile small vessel.

Jake Lancia, resident PR guy here to tell you some exciting news concerning future Trident Foundries products!

I've decided to release some teasers of some upcoming and work-in-progress projects of ours.

First thing is, we're trialling a slightly different exterior style. This new style incorporates a lot of sharp 90-degree angles and very little 'organic' shapes, making the new vessels appear more industrial and utilitarian in appearance. It uses the standard Trinova Tech colour scheme but incorporates more white into it, to offset the colours a little and create a design lineage with our fleet submission ships such as the Freedom II-class. It also expands on the 'random wiring' (RP: power transfer conduits) we've been slowly incorporating into newer vessels.

This new, unnamed light corvette is an example of this new build style. We've essentially taken the Crossbow-class and Phantom-class and reconfigured some of their components while also fabricating many new components, most notably the new armour plates (RP: heat radiators) above and below the two main engines. This has formed the basis of the new build style.

You may have noticed the corvette is inside some kind of station...

The station is part of our new build style too! The Genesis-type Outpost is designed to hold territory and manufacture small vessels quickly for the Trinova fleet. It features sixteen TT Medium Defence turrets and will eventually also feature heavy shielding and an expansive interior befitting a frontier outpost. It too is still a heavy WIP.

This vessel is our most exciting addition to the lineup! Our resident exterior wizard has finally applied his ...er, exterior wizardry, to crafting masterful larger ships too! This one is also unnamed, and is just a shell and turrets so far.

We also have a Light Defence Outpost! This station features sixteen TT Medium Defence turrets and eight TT Light Missile turrets, in addition to some pretty hefty shielding, and is designed to be set up in locations that are heavily contested. This one is mostly complete.

We're also thinking of adding some kind of lore surrounding our ships and stations (that is separate from the lore of Trinova Tech). Should we or shouldn't we?

As usual, leave comments on any of our builds and/or questions below.

    Thank you for listening.

Jake Lancia, resident PR guy here to...

    ...huh?

What do you mean OUR FREQUENCY IS BEING JAMMED? SORT...

    ...bzzt...

    -Transmission intercepted-

This is the Scavenger Consortium. We've noticed your vessels snooping around near our fleet. I wouldn't want to lose newly-built warships to scavengers like us, would I?
Your old ships have already made excellent ships for our fleet.

We found your probe near our salvage ship. We were salvaging that old vessel. The vessel is rightfully ours by the Galactic Laws of Salvage! Any more ships sent by your people will be fired on!

    -End transmission-

...we're experiencing technical difficulties. Please come back another time.

In the meantime, we've got blueprints recovered from a Scavenger vessel here for you to peruse at your own risk.

Jake Lancia, resident PR guy to tell you what's going on in Trident Foundries...

For starters, we're taking a more RP route with most of our released ships and this thread itself (if you couldn't already tell).

Our vessels have investigated sector 223 and found no trace of this 'Scavenger Consortium' or the TRV Endeavor.
An hour later, probes sighted two vessels near a heavily-damaged Snooper-class. Trident Command dispatched TRV Resistance (Freedom-class) and TRV Buzzard to investigate.

The Trident vessels came under fire from the two Scavenger ships, as well as a third that warped in to assist the others.

Outnumbered and outgunned, the vessels radioed Trident Command, and the prototype vessel TRV Eris CV-2000 then arrived on the scene, forcing the Scavengers to retreat.

Captain Isaac used the newly-built warship to incredible effect, forcing the Scavengers to abandon their wreck salvaging operation and retreat.

This marks the first recorded hostilities with the Scavenger Consortium. We now know they are hostile and they seek to capture wrecks to use for themselves.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

The Eris-class is a new warship originally built for the Trident military. After cutting her armaments to fit with Trade Guild regulations on civilian vessels, Trident has allowed civilians to purchase their own Eris-class Explorer variants.

Featuring many defensive and weapon systems along with a fleshed-out interior, the Eris makes a fine destroyer for any fleet. She is outfitted with faction-spec technology so will be able to dish out a lot of damage for its size. It also has an easily-replaceable reactor facilitating quick repairs.

The Scavengers have been stepping up their raids on Trident vessels since the incident in the Vergesso System. Their favoured tactic appears to be using small, modified low-orbit courier craft, with retrofitted weapons, to hit planetary and small orbital outposts in and around Trident territory to steal supplies, materials and, occasionally, ships. Trident Command still has no leads on their base of operations.

In response, Trident engineers have developed the Barracuda-class atmospheric assault vessel. Essentially a retrofitted fighter with a more streamlined framework and excellent atmospheric manueverability, the Barracuda has been ushered into service to combat the new, fast-moving threat.

The designers of the Barracuda elected to give it a tried and tested atmospheric rotor system as opposed to the gravitic thrusters normally carried by other Trident suborbital vehicles. This is for greater redundancy and to save costs; Barracudas are designed to be cheaply manufactured.

Barracudas are designed to land on planets, and as such employs the rotors as well as variable geometry wings to set the craft down safely. The edge of the wings double as landing skids.

Barracudas are typically armed with two medium-yield rapid-fire plasma cannons as their main fixed weapons, but can be fit with a frontal plasma cannon turret too, for further increased firepower.
However the Barracuda's main strength lies in it's versatility. Trident engineers designed a module system that attaches to the back of the Barracuda's main body that can carry many different mission-specific payloads, ranging from additional weapons to a mobile hospital or troop barracks.

Barracudas are rated for space usage, but it is not recommended to use them in deep-space due to their very underpowered jump drive.

Since the Barracuda was ushered into service approximately six galactic days ago, Scavenger small craft attacks have already dropped off by 26.5%.
    --------------------------------------------------------------

The Barracuda is a highly manueverable suborbital and space fighter that can be quickly outfit for different missions using it's module system. Different modules can be attached to the plate at the back of the vehicle, enabling additional capabilities.

The fighter features variable geometry wings that allow planetary landing and rack storage on compatible starships. It also has 100% stop effect to assist with planetary operations.
