    Will the turrets be reworked soon?

    Namely:
    • Line of sight firing so they don't try to shoot through the ship or each other.
    • A sort of cockpit block for the AI so the AI doesn't fire from the core's perspective (this is currently preventing you from embedding them in the ships hull unless you're okay with them not being able to fire horizontally)
    • Related to the first point: Missile turrets are currently a danger to everything else that is docked to the same ship.
    • Being able to de/activate them with shortkeys
    • Seeing their respective names in the docked-object-list
    • Configuring the AI for all turrets in a single menu
    • Being able to hide the markers for turrets from the UI
    • Getting rid of the bug that flips them randomly

    • And much more.. Turrets are an important part of the game and they still need a lot of work to be user-friendly

    Will you put work into a boarding system? I don't know if this has already been asked but I think it would be fun to board a massive frigate with a couple of friends and take it down.

    Ever Since the last q and a, I have thought and thought, Whats stopping this game from becoming a space whale simulator.

    I expect, and hope, that we'll have more variety for handheld weapons in the future, but what I was wondering is if they'll ever become semi-customizable, or even fully customizable? Like, there's a workshop block that you enter and create a weapon(within reasonable size parameters) just like you would make a ship.

    Could armor also possibly be designed like this, should armor ever be added to the game?

    Also, will 2 different types of wedges ever be able to occupy the same block space?

    MISSILES!!! I know its a balancing issue and all that is said to come later BUT can some sort of block resistance be implemented for missiles/explosions?!? Its quite ridiculous to have a 20m hole in the side of a ship because missile explosions apply their full damage to every block within their blast radius regardless of how many layers of reinforced hulls they may go through.

    Why not something like full damage is applied to impact block, than overkill damage is applied to next layer of blocks in an expanding fashion until the max explosion radius is reached or the explosion damage is dissipated?

    Sorry if these questions have been asked but will we ever see cannon rounds (AMC or "new weapon system" equivalent) that affect more than 1 block on impact? Perhaps via penetration or sheer projectile size or exploding projectiles? Its a bit of a let down when you fashion a large anti-capital ship cannon and it still only fires small pewpew bullets that affect 1 block at a time.

    What are the plans about non-ship combat contraptions? Power Suits, Hand-made weapons, Tanks, Mechs, stuff like that? Pleeease tell my you ARE planning to make all of those!

    Will Different planet types only have minerals that are "natural" to them? for example each planet type only having 1 - 3 mineral types that can appear on it?

    Will we get an Undo button? because that would be amazing !

    Could we get an option to have faction symbols for factions? Something like a faction avatar that can be displayed next to a factions name in the faction list? and possibly in Nav for faction ships/stations/players? Also what about placing a "painted" logo on ships? I say painted because not all ships would be large enough to place the logo using blocks so I'm thinking something like a vector graphic that can be placed on a ship. Sort of like how decals work in many racing games.

    Will it be possible (without scripting by the server) to have your AI crew man ships and follow your ship around? It would be fun to fly a battle ship with 4 or 5 fighters as an escort. Also will it be possible to command those Crew members to "Dock" or "Undock" from the ship your in, Assuming you have enough free docking spaces? Maybe they would race to try and claim the free spots if there isn't enough?

    Will it ever be possible to reduce the size of docking areas? Especially the height? I find it can be somewhat restrictive especially if your trying to build "suicide" ships with the explosive blocks. They tend to be small and not require the whole docking area but I still have to keep a large distance in between docks or the docks don't work right.

    Will we ever get the ability to rename ships?

    We can already rename ships with the faction modules, as long as the ship is in your faction

    We already have them, they're called missiles

    Tanks and mechs do exist, you just gotta build them, the bottom half of tanks work best when piloted by a player, and the mechs work best when piloted by a player

    I probably wasn't clear enough. I meant mechs with moving legs, and tanks with working wheels.

    In the last Q&A I recall hearing something about changing "ship health" from the core block to a sum of all the ships blocks (or some such). Are there any plans to change missile targeting (the current SD-KBs and SD-BBs) from the core to other parts of a ship? Such as KBs could track random engine blocks (perhaps the rear parts even?) and BBs could randomly lock onto the block faces that are within view of the launching player?

    If the new weapon system is planned to be released before the ship health changes than this question applies to future weapons that have tracking/targeting AIs.

    Tried searching the thread for this but it gave me an error message...

    With the addition of NPC characters (and creatures?) are any sustenance / personable items planned, such as foods, or furniture?

    Perhaps the these manufacturing facilities could be ran by the trading guild or something similar to the X Universe? (Will the trading guild ever having anything to trade?)

    Sorry for the second entry, but so far , the game can be called the middle ground between ftp space shooters, minecraft and eve. The eve part trading crafting, it seems to be neglected. Missiles don't cost any resources while fine but so far the resources we gather just kinda stack up. I guess I am asking for both trade hubs (of some sort). And something like ftl where resources get drained the more you use your ship.

    will you add airlocks and oxygen setups, i think it would be cool to have an oxygen system that collects oxygen from trees and allows people to breath without a spacesuit.
