So after leaving for like 3 months or so and attempting to "build good" again, I can conclude that I can't do well with ships that are either too small or too large. I need to re-do my style and color scheme. Again. But hey, it will probably be fun! And the next fleet will look much better.

Hello

Here is my first proper attempt, please be kind.. or merciful!

This is a support fleet, and a couple of these ships should not be left to the AI to use in combat, until later, when support things are more widely useful with the AI.

The fleet uses a Tug, Troop Carrier, Salvager, Hospital Ship and AMS Escort. None of these ships are strong in offense, mainly defence and 'character' or 'roleplay'

Edit: I should point out that someone watching my WIP mentioned the fifth element movie and I did take a look and see that the Starburst looked very similar to the navy ship from that. If the similarity is too strong and my fleet is therefore disqualified, I will understand... I will wail for thirty months about how unfair my long term memory is for making me think I had a neat original shape, but I will accept the judgement of the panel in any case.

Feel free to give me any feedback on these ships, I want to make sure that they are up to the same quality of some of the other great submissions already posted here (which I may or may not have downloaded to use as target practice to boost my self-esteem).

This is the last day I'll be able to work on this til long after the deadline, so I'm afraid the interiors are pretty sparse. Also, I'm planning on making non-drone versions of the drones for my own amusement, if this get's chosen I can send those in as replacements. If nothing else, I hope to boost reptillianstew 's self-esteem with this submission.

EDIT: the two larger ships have some empty turret blocks, that's cause I like to customize the turret loadout on ships I find and I think it would be cool to have that option with some of the in game ships. And because if I submitted the Gunship with all it's turrets attached it would have way too many entities and Criss would be annoyed with me.

I saw that my fleet was in the fleet contest update video. Then I got excited and decided to update and improve them.

They had too much green hull, so I gave them more green standard armor. And the patrol ship is no longer non-lethal. It now has 50% EMP lasers. They can't be too peaceful, or the ai will get massacred.

My first fleet is mostly done. This Is a Mercenary stylized fleet with a main cruiser, gunship, bomber, fighter and attack drone/scout. I intend to continue to update certain aspects of this fleet right up until the deadline. But they are 95% complete as they are. OmegaGame_Fleet_Submission_1
