Hi I like turrets a lot and I think starmade is the coolest cube building game I played.
well I guess its time for the typical advertisement of the NFD build server (however currently it is not the most stable server in the world, but normally it performs brilliantly, and for me at least performs better than my single player)joining a build server
it sounds like you would like Cake Build Server - The Most Delicious Build Server [Whitelist]Hello everybody!
I'm Stormraven, and I really love playing with Logic systems and experimenting with alternative technology design.
Extremely small automatic jump drives for escape pods. Backup shield units for ship defense that activate when the main shield drops. Turbo-sublight engines using Overdrive and Push modules connected to logic. That kind of thing.
I tend to play single player, focusing mostly on sandbox building. In particular, I like designing ships that fall outside of the common roles or practices. Things like entirely non-lethal attack vessels, made to disable an enemy and allow for boarding. Or mining ships designed with no offensive capabilities, but a myriad of defensive systems worthy of a battle ship.

it is also the home of caketownWelcome Stormraven,I agree with jonty CBS is my favorite for building. Great members ready to give advise and seems fairly stable so far.
Pick any one of the more well rated and prolific builders in the community content area and you have a pretty good start. Just reverse engineer those a bit. That and a little youtubin' oughta net you some really good pointers. Some of the more audience aware streamers are also a good source as you can ask them live and get a decent reply. Just don't ask me directly. I've no idea. None. Asking me about building specifics is like asking a garden gnome where the magical path to the moon is hidden - only productive with the right prescriptions.... i'd appreciate word from anybody who has any advice or resources they'd like to link, or even just a direction to point so i can learn construction best-practices from people who know better.
I wouldn't say that. It's merely a matter of choosing your play style and finding a server that caters to that. You can get a good feel for a server within 10min of logging in during peak times.I'm definitely interested in trying multiplayer sometime though I suspect I'd be far out of my league.
