It could probably stand some upload controls, too. There are people that like to download a bunch of popular ships and spam re-upload them so that all the popular ships are at the top of the downloads list (sorted by date) with their name on it.
Whether or not they\'re doing it to try and claim...
to the best of my knowledge there is no path flag, however....
you can name the directory anything you want and have the server launch just fine so long as you\'re using the -server flag and the Starmade.jar jarfile, as it\'s already located inside the directory with all the other game files...
First make sure you have java installed. I think ubuntu ships with OpenJDK (the ubuntu forums could probably answer any questions about this).
Then go to http://star-made.org/download and select one of the linux downloads.
Go to your downloads folder and run StarMade-Starter.jar. You might...

When I finally build a station, it shall have a dock of honor. Or maybe mockery. It will be on display for all to see, in any case. and by \'all\' I mean \'me\' as I play alone. fooreeeveeer alloooooooooone
The catalogue tab is always desplayed, whether or not you\'re near a shop. I think the problem is that your resolution is too small and your hotbar is covering up the catalogue tab in the GUI.

My heart filled with spite upon falling under the harsh criticisms of MisterVec\'s \'crispify\' feedback setting, instead of \'correcting\' my so-called \'foolish\' design ideology I set about creating a grotesque charicature of the recommendations. After venting my impotent rage at the firing...
You\'ve beaten me to the punch with your accursed effluvia levitation technique! You\'ve succesfully sucked the impending hype from my magne-couple marketing team. Now I\'m going to have to whip my sorcerer-techs for newer/better innovations!
The whippings shall continue until morale improves!
It says right in the error message to run as administrator. In windows that\'s typically in the context menu, so right-click and select \'run as administrator\'.
Can you connect to your server through your external-facing IP address while using port forwarding? You can use whatismyip.com or icanhazip.com to find out what it is. It should be anything other than 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.X.X.
If you can\'t it means something (probably port forwarding) isn\'t...
Yeah, in that case the best I have to offer is to try running as administrator or going through and altering all the file permissions by hand. I\'ve purposely avoided windows 8 like the plague so I don\'t know how best to go about it in your case.
If you\'re running linux/mac you can probably run a simple shell script on your home folder to reset file permissions, otherwise you might try running as admin or manually going through the folders and resetting the permissions by hand. I don\'t know if there\'s a way (utility or batch file) to...
