      Either it will cause more fighting, or resource scarcity will end up pushing people further and further away from each other. I don't like the idea that we just pillage the planets near spawn and just have to migrate out into space eating up all resources as we go, leaving a bunch of garbage...

      At one point when I first started playing I did something like this. By building a giant tower from the surface of a planet and then removing the connecting section, it gives the illusion of being a separate object but is essentially a part of the planet and will rotate with it.

      every time i pull up weapons/nav/etc menu and the ship is rotating, esp in place, it freezes in a glitchy way and stops the rotation, then continues it once i get out of the menu.

      Another idea is to teleport your astronaut into the core of the ship when you spawn it from the catalog. That will reduce the amount of time, not require an additional interface, and would be helpful for spawing ships vice turrets also.

      no offense, but what is this suggestion trying to solve, other than the visual effect? you can increase salvage area by staggering your beams in checkerboards or even just lining them up and moving your ship and they will spread. also, why is this benefit to Saturn more than any other server...

      nice picture! i dont know that it is a question of sustainability or just that people are destroying the universe in that server. It is not necessary to mine close to an entire planet\'s worth of stuff to get a factory like that, but that doesn\'t mean that people won\'t strip the universe...
