So my starmade kinda works somewhat unreliably, and I might be able to come on occasionally in the future. School is getting rather busy though, so it will be somewhat limited.
I think it would be preferrable to have some sort of block that accelarates something (like a converyor belt, but not continuous) that is attached to it. You could use it to launch fighters or solid objects with disintegrators.
Pretty much the viper tubes in Battlestar Galactica
The upper limit would ultimately be dependant on how much effort the faction is going to put in to the radar system.
Radar nodes could have an individual limit of x sectors, but if you linked them together in a network, you could technically end up with the ability to see the entire game...
I was thinking of this exact idea a while ago, because I thought that the current texture pack did not support all styles of ships. I suppose it could be worked out in a similar way to player skins, but it would be annoying to program.
Limiting the blocks that could be removed would make building large (or symmetrical) underground structures on planets, far more time consuming and painful than it needs to be.
Just pointing out that you don\'t need to repeat the rotation for every block. Symmetry will automatically mirror, and the rotation stays between block placements.
I think before this get sorted out, the other corner blocks should get more rotations, as Charlie said.
Why are you guys trying to give it a similar name, the name should have nothing to do with planet minecraft. They are different games.
On Topic: This could be very useful for sharing ships. Perhaps there could also be a faction registry where factions can co-ordinate with themselves and each...
Don\'t put weapons computers outside your ship. This feature is also usefull when you need to do repairs to a big ship, and don\'t want to bother getting to the core.
In the first window of the launcher (the one with the news) there is a menu item called \"Port Options\" or something of that ilk. I don\'t know if it works, but I might be worth a try.
Why don\'t you put a turret on the back, then it can rotate freely. At the moment, the orientation of a cockpit means nothing.
Also, I believe topics like these belong in the help forum.
