Poke: Prodding the values with CheatEngine and then saving a blueprint suggests that values such as power, shields (so possibly armor) are calculated in real time rather than saved in the BP file.

I know I just felt compelled to put that there because people who mine planets would be likely to view this thread and I wanted them to know. It reduces server lag by a lot and gives you a legit excuse to put a huge planet cracking laser on your miner. Whats not to love?

Edit 1: Apparently I was wrong about the cause of the power consumption increase (see Lancake's Post) Edit 2: Upon testing a pre-update reactor I found it worked exactly how it used too suggesting that power consumption for power-supply beams hasn't changed at all.

Would you like anything else made? I currently have a strong desire to make things and nothing to make.

Gonna have a try at a decent pseudo-random number generator, might get some other decent logic circuits out of it too. Edit: Ok I worked out a way that doesn't use rotors but it involves an 8 bit logic counter and I'm not making one of those just for this.

If you go back a few versions it still works and then you can update the blueprints to the current format. Not sure if its worth the time tho.

You see the removal of something laggy, I see the limiting of creativity and penalization of a brilliant player made solution to a problem.

Ok I'd like to be able to test it but apparently my system doesn't like the latest release so now there's too much lag to reliably test anything power related.
