Calm down Cookie, I made a 70 tick/s (so a little under half that speed) during a slow lunch :p. At this point we can honestly make clocks as arbitrarily fast as we want.
I just remembered that last time this happened it was because the persons graphics drivers were outdated and consequently incompatible. So I recommend updating them and seeing if that helps.
Too many inactive members eh...
Back on topic I completely agree with kiwionthemoon, past a certain threshold there's pretty much 0 gameplay to be had. Its been said time and time again that we need something that's worth fighting over.
As much as I like the idea I think a better alternative would be to convince people that its worth having a second player crew-member to fulfill the same function of re-linking computers. Would be a legitimate reason/advantage to have 2 players crewing a ship.
This doesn't actually work for Punch-Through or Pierce passives as they simply increase the damage required to break the block rather than reducing the oncoming damage by a percentage.
+1 to this idea because it would allow drones to be retried in a timely fashion, also perhaps it should only work on ships in the same faction to prevent it being OP in combat (Force docking the enemy to you so they can't fight back)
In this suggestion I will outline each warhead type I suggest implementing and then explain the reasoning behind why it is the way it is; note this is as much for my own amusement as it is a proper suggestion though it would be a nice addition to the game.

Just my personal method in someone finds none of the above particularly works for them:
Build a bridge then 'grow' the ship from it. "I have this cool bridge what would it look good sitting on" then you build that, then you find out what that would look good attached to and so on until your...
Please give more info on the turret you are seeking. Do you intend to make a PD turret and just need it as small as possible or do you want the whole rotation mechanism itself to be as small as possible. (In which case the smallest I know is 2 high, 1 long and 3 wide for all practical purposes...
Very old question probably been answered but I'm not reading the whole thread twice, if a drone has a long range and a short range weapon on it, will it ever use the short range one or will it stay at maximum weapon range and only use its longest ranged weapon?
I like to attempt (never finish) big ships because I like the idea of mobile bases and epic cinematic space battles with highly detailed ships. Of course my end goal is to create something which is essentially apocalypse incarnate.
IMO race gates are a very clever way to allow player created content outside building which is great for all non-builders out there. It gives people an activity beyond building and fighting and hopefully will draw some more people to the game.
