Your cannister concept would probably work better on smaller ships than my drone rack tbh, considering that it would need less space.
I'm starting to think about a magazine fed skoomdrone launcher type thing (only one barrel to shoot multiple drones separately). It's just a concept in my head...
I actually made a very small drone that uses a push pulse to stun enemy ships. I linked an area trigger to a half adder. The half adder is linked to a delay loop that activates the pulse. So whe the drone gets deployed the area trigger touches something on the main ship and activates...
THAT F*****G SUCKS YOU MAGGOT!!!!!!
just kidding, I can't even see the images right now (for a couple of reasons) but the hilarious text alone merited a like. You can expect some actual brutal criticism tomorrow :P
Interesting new additions. I hope that I'll see you two around chat and the forums more often @Raiben @Dalmont ! (Sorry kojinus, but I just don't know you :p)
My god, what kind of monstrous anti-missile turrets do you have that are powerful enough to kill a planed o_O . Even the Missile point defence turrets designed for my titan don't come anywhere close to that kind of damage (the other turrets do, though)
UPDATE #19: Hangars
Title says it all, there's a hangar on each side. The two drone corvettes inside will be eject-able with the use of the wall mounted push beams (I have yet to make the system, but it won't be complicated). Anyways, here's some pics:
I also remade a section of the...
I guess... I just use missiles with a beam computer slaved to them (without any beam modules). So it's basically normal missiles with lock-on capabilities :)
Interesting. However, you do realise that normal missiles will have done just as much damage as your pulse array by the time they recharge? AND they are useful against stuff that isn't an immobile capital.
They actually all have useful attributes.
- Push pulse is actually extremely potent since it has a built in stun/emp effect. Removing it would really be a shame.
-The shield beams can be used to supply turrets with extra shielding with the use of logic. Similar things apply to the power...
I personally dislike the idea of artificial limitations. While I don't have an idea of how a potential system could work, I believe that players shouldn't be limited to the amount of bobby AIs they can use for the simple reason that using more might be necessary.
Something like a control system...
You're right on all those points. I find guided missiles to be optimal on drones. First of all, I have to point out that I only link a beam computer, as the extra range and missile speed isn't needed (not to mention that beam modules don't add damage).
In drones VS drone/fighters lock-ons...
