There's a difference between a cube shaped ship (like a borg cube) and a doomcube. The latter being a pile of systems tossed together in a hurry with the intent of obliterating everything in it's path.
That's the point >: D .
Tbh, I don't like being an ass. But when some player is going "hur hur hur, I ish killing everyone, I ish best" and is using a ?$%#&* doomcube it tends to get on my nerves.
Solutions:
Tell the person that doom cubes are lame and show just how bad at the game they are.
Get an admin to destroy it.
Use a ship that has more mass against them
Team up on them
Troll them with a tiny stop beam fighter until they ragequit
Uh... we're exited about the features by I rarely if ever see anyone pressuring schema to release them... I also agree with you, it's better to flesh out a feature before releasing it.
But guess what! That's what Schema already does! Unless he badly needs mass testing to be done, but we're all...
20k views... OMFG!!!!
In other news, I remodeled the front middle section of hull to remove an awkward bump that has been annoying me since I first made it. I'll post images tomorrow to show you guys/gals. It's not really a big change (even though it was an ABSOLUTE PAIN to make), but it was...
Steering locks up if you get stunned by the push pulse, so if you were turning when it happens you'll keep turning. I made @MrFURB spin like crazy with that thing.
Even with beams as a slave I'm pretty sure that the range of damage pulses is pretty pathetic and impractical. Having a ship mounted pushpulse could work, considering that the range is waaaaaay better than the damage pulse. It could stun the drones and allow the turrets to take them out.
I'll try (if I get some time to play) without looking at what you guys did first, so if I happen to pick the same and that it looks similar then it'll be a coincidence :)
If my swarm is getting wrecked by an anti-drone ship I'd just deploy the two AI corvettes to assist >: D (freshly refit too). There's no such thing as overkill.
I cut out the door and made sure that they fit yesterday, I'll be making the hangars today or later this week.
Missiles causing lag is a thing of the past. Of course, 1000 missiles being fired a once will cause problems, but I don't think that a chain of 20 or 40 missiles would be problematic :P
*super serious application alert*
Username: Keptick
Prefere style: Cybertronic AI of doom. Seriously, you tell me.
Qualities: Zeno pls... Just kidding :p
Making any type of angular surfaces (complex shaping)
Evil logic contraptions
Patience
Anti-drone solution that might work well: Chain swarm missiles. Basically volleys of swarms that are fired off in sequence by logic. Never ending missile spam goodness!
Yep, that's what I meant. The AI is there to steer the entire thing in the direction of the enemy.
I actually made a missile machine gun to test out a point defence turret, it fires a missile every 0.5 seconds. I could strap an AI and some thrusters to it and see how it goes :D
