For me, the game is the game NOT a glorified loading screen.
Give me a big fat start button and I will be more than happy.
I would rather the Devs concentrated on the game!
As the server I usually play on has announced it will be reset when this update is released I was just wondering if there will be a general announcement a few days before release or if we will just have a nice big surprise the next time we log in?
I've built my own weapon system similar to the A10 (the ship became the Aighten) with a mix of Ion and punch through cannons I believe. Logic fired which wasn't always the best but when it worked it could take out an Isanth in about 4-5 shots and it was half the size!
Something you're proposing...
I posted a simple shuttle in the community content section recently and carry a ready to spawn blueprint in my inventory. That way, I have a ready to use ship with a radar jammer, some cargo space if required and a 2.5 thrust to mass ratio so can zip away from a danger zone if the need arises. I...
A number of unique alien artifacts could be strewn across the galaxy. These single blocks could have a number of properties such as a power generation modifier that doubles the output of power reactors for example. Numerous artifacts could be deployed that affect shield strength, recharge...
I know it is horses for courses. Like the servers that give you a starter ship or several million credits. I avoid these as I find them utterly pointless. I want to do it "properly" but I know some people need more hand holding than others. I am still on the server so I guess I must be worth it.
I was once left with about 20 credits and a handful of utterly useless blocks. No core, no thrusters, no power, nothing. I floated nearly 2km to an asteroid and buried myself into it as I was under attack by pirates!
It was a long slog but I hand mined the asteroid and ended up with a large...
It won't let me increase it and I cannot decrease it without it moaning that you shouldn't go lower than 4096! On MP I'm not running the server, just the client. The most I've ever seen is 2.8gb if I'm near a planet that is spawning in for the first time. Most of the time it sits at around...
I've used this station myself before and can vouch for its' versatility. I have a modified (week one) version of it that I sometimes use as a throw away mining outpost. Processing and manufacturing of carved minerals, crystals, ingots and paint. I park a freighter on one dock and once this is...
Playing StarMade!
There was a .1 file...I will clear it out and run the test again. I'm guessing it won't matter whether it is SP or MP so I will do 1 and post everything!
Maybe it is a performace issue with my poor 4 year old laptop! Sometimes it hangs at 30% loading and sits there with no...
OK... Single Player and Multi Player logs after crash. Cleared all logs before testing. Screenshot of Single Player crash Task Manager (similar to multiplayer) Error message to say Java not responding - close or wait. Selected wait, took my kids to school, went to doctors, made a cup of tea...
I have 8gb of RAM.
GPU drivers are up to date.
I just get a generic Windows error message and automated " Windows is trying to find a fix message ".
Single player AND multi player. Will delete all logs and post next time it happens.
Additionally, I have only noticed the problem since the warp...
...and I don't mean up and down!
Sometimes on both SP and MP, when the warp tunnel effect is being displayed the game freezes. More often than not this is a fatal error and I have to restart my client. On rare occasions, the game eventually continues but this is VERY rare.
This can be my first...
I've noticed that they sometimes default to the "off" position. I tend to use this feature to prevent ships docking to occupied docks by adding an activation block next to the rail basic linked to a NOT. Then link the NOT to the pick up point. Toggle it a couple of times and it should be good...
I normally would start with a role in mind and throw down a core. Cockpit would be lined out and then everything would follow next. Hopefully it would work out and look aesthetically pleasing, sometimes it would need some "editing" and sometimes I would simply discard it. If there were any cool...
There does seem to be no negatives to blowing up a planet and mining the plates. All juice and little squeeze so to speak. Stopping mining from space on a planet plate would appear to be an answer and maybe some form of planetary mining system could be created instead?
