      Measuring tool

What about just adding a tooltip to the existing selection tool that shows the X,Y,Z dimensions while you are actively moving the second selection box. It could additionally display the current copy selection dimensions in the selection part of the adv. build panel. Maybe even add a tiny button...

Population : Figurehead NPC and/or Management for builders, Batch Invincibility for fighters (2)

I'm not sure about all the specifics you went into, but I think the idea of adding beds to determine crew capacity has merit. I also really like the idea of giving decorative blocks a purpose.

Can't start the game on older version

I don't think the 32 bit version of Java has that file, at least not at that location. Are you actually running 32 bit windows? You may have better luck running the old launcher if you really need to run 32 bit.

Thought these might be worth discussing?

I don't quite see how this is a bug or an exploit. Isn't this expected behavior? Would it improve things if there was a much smaller tolerance for the stabilizer groups to be non-orthogonal to one of the reactor planes?

      Suggestion Disagree button

If we both think Tiny blocks is a good example for our opposing points, maybe they're not actually opposing, just different. I agree that ratings on replies are not as accessible as ratings on the OP, since they require additional reading for content to discern whether they even have anything to...

Thought these might be worth discussing?

I think the extra 2 groups just simplify making equal groups with symmetry. Other wise you'd need to arrange the groups into two triangular arrangements: S RR S S S S RR S

Thought these might be worth discussing?

It looks like you just need to rotate two reactor axes to 45deg, then keep the angle of the stabilizer streams higher than 4 or 5 degrees in order to get the 6 side bonus. You can also get 100%(+1.8%) with a 50x7x7 box with 122 integrity, and save 1195 m^3. I didn't have to do any strange...

      Suggestion Disagree button

Like isn't the same as agree... For instance, I occasionally like posts, simply because they are thoughtfully written, even though I disagree with some or all of their content.

Well, that wasn't particulary nice  , and a bit a strawman response. When you said, I certainly never assumed you were discriminating against people who hadn't read everything before :/ I know that the thread list has the highest rated item for the OP, but where does the OP show the...

      Suggestion Disagree button

Thanks for the well-stated response. A few comments: I'm not quite convinced that liking and disagreeing follow the same logic. Generally, when I first read something, I have a quick sense of if I like or dislike it, but in the case of disliking it, I might not be able to articulate exactly why...

      Problem when increasing Ram

Without knowing the specifics of your system, I would suggest just leaving it on 4096MB. I've heard (somewhere) that some systems don't like certain values. The Java docs say it needs to be multiples of 1024, so you might try 6144. I also have 8GB RAM and it runs fine with that, but I couldn't...

      Great Idea For Starmade(VEHICLES)

While real wheels and physics might be out of the question, it might be good enough to just simulate this with some wheel-shaped repulsor blocks that have some car-like handling modifications.

      Suggestion Disagree button

I can't speak for everyone else, but what I don't like is about the disagree button is that it supports the casual dismissal of a post. I find this to be counterproductive in a discussion-based community forum. So far, the only support for a disagree button was 'a quick way to say "nah"' and an...

Lag fix: Soft docking when near a body (i.e. "landing" mechanic without rails)

I don't think a landing gear block is necessary or desirable for normal landing, or even static docking. I really like the idea of just toggling a docking protocol on, and once the ship has "settled", it becomes a fixed dock. There could be some tolerance for ships sitting a bit crooked to...

How do I change max build size in the config file

It's in the server.cfg, PLAYER_MAX_BUILD_AREA, or you can find it in the Local Game ADV. SETTINGS

      Highlight Damaged blocks

As a build tool option, it would be very useful for locating inadvertently damaged blocks. In normal gameplay contexts, it could be part of the Recon chamber tree, used for scanning ships.

      Suggestion Disagree button

The like button serves to draw more attention and support to things the community is interested in without everyone having to write essays that all pretty much say the same thing. You might think the same logic would apply to a disagree (or hate) button, but for those topics, it's best to either...

      Fleets cost FP to operate

Depending on what faction points are actually supposed to be simulating, this suggestion may or may not make sense. Are faction points representing consumable resources, like food and energy, that would be used to operate a fleet? Or are they representing some kind of diplomacy or influence in...
