This is more of a bug. I believe both displays are there it's just the overheating timer makes it impossible to read the distance display. Look closely behind "sec" you'll see there is text there.
I am unaware that Mojang actually did allow for stacked slabs. I haven't followed MC dev for a while but last time I checked they couldn't. As for my statement on Soon(TM) I should have been more specific, I was referencing to the ability to sit on slab faces not the ability to stack slabs.
I've always used fixed weapons for tracking missiles even before the rail system and new weapons. Missile+Beam works great as they are fire and forget and the AI has no lock-on time so they will fire as soon as they are facing a target and long reloads means they don't always need to be held on...
They don't have a full hit-box, you can use rails to slide two slabs past each other.
It will probably happen eventually or Soon(TM). It's just not a high priority.
I use fixed docks a lot and they do work... The problem I've seen with fixed docks is the AI will often get fixated on a target they cannot see and ignore those in front of them therefore they will never fire. In this case I'll often pause in a fight and look at other ships in the dog fight...
Yes 10 DPS per module is correct. I don't know why I said 5dps per module, it's not the first time either, my memory must be slipping.
Edit: Okay I figured it out and I'm not crazy. The DPS per module USED to be 5 and was buffed to 10 at some point... I'm not exactly sure what update it was.
It certainly is an interesting take on a tier/buff system. Instead of blueprints being locked until you can find X amount of rare material to even spawn it in all the weapon systems/thrust/shields/whatever would be the stock but you could buff them by adding these rare crystals to the system...
10-0-0 would deal 50DPS, (100 if it's a missile)
5-5-0 would deal 50DPS, (100 if it's a missile)
5-0-5 would deal 50DPS, (100 if it's a missile)
3-3-3 would deal 45DPS, (90 if it's a missile)
Missiles have 2x DPS due to the fact that in most situations half the explosive power can be lost to...
As long as the rare element that you find isn't some barrier for building ships. Maybe once we get a gear crafting system you could get some component of that but adding additional grind to resource acquisition isn't great.
This is 100% false. Every module added to every weapon system adds 5 DPS (10DPS for missiles) to that weapon system. When you are adding slaves you are adding damage. Do not trust the weapons tab that information is not correct. The weapon system was balanced with one thing in mind, all...
The tester team is aware of this bug and are trying to work it out. I've had this exact same thing happen to me several times already. You're player file is getting corrupted or overwritten. In addition to mine getting deleted I've also had it overwritten from another universe. If it does...
I made one way back when rails were still in development. I have plans to do more with this design, I want to make a ship that has only retractable turrets but I am kind of waiting until we get the ability to auto center them.
As far as I know the new texture pack kupu is working on should at the very least solve the texture issue with hardened hull as the current one has shading drawn onto the texture itself.
I don't know if I'm the first to figure this one out but at least we can take full advantage of kupu s amazing work on the cargo spaces of various sizes.
There is also a rendering bug Lancake may want to look into.
Shipyards on ships has never been officially confirmed as a "capital ship system" so I don't know why you keep mentioning that as a certainty.
1: Shipyards on ships not confirmed, building a station with a ship based shipyard is not a good solution anyway.
2: Yes fixing the shipyard issues...
Actually being able to build stations from blueprints using a construction ship is part of the original post...
Stations building stations is not really feasible, I would have to build a station by hand just so I can use it to spawn my station in? How does that make sense? The entire point of...
