Perhaps a simple addition of if you suicide you don't get to choose where you spawn from. This would allow us to set multiple respawn points if a base happens to get destroyed or if on ship respawning ever happens but you simply cannot use suicide as a method to teleport around the galaxy.

Well you couldn't transport an entity through. I'm sure players and entities can be handled differently. Gates designed for ships would have to move ships outside of the bounding box of a station.
Most of these are quite specific to admins. I like the idea of being able to open the faction menu or access copy and paste mode with key presses though.
Personally I think the better option would be to fix small gates so when you walk through it you can walk out the other side similar to Stargate instead of using a transporter.
