Tips for getting past the "invalid shape" error message:
- Symmetry planes are your best friend. Use them to build the same arc in a matching pattern.
- Use the copy and paste functions along with the symmetry planes to make sure your shipyard arcs all match each other.
- With the...
Personally, I think it would be great if each planet plate allowed you to auto align to it once you're in it's gravity. That would make cars, tanks and light mechs more fun to use in RP ground combat scenarios.
Meanwhile, a small-ish ship (with stop effect/anti-gravity activated) can hover in...
Like the Ex-Soviets and the Chinese; if you choose to spend that much of your own time and energy reverse engineering one of my designs, I won't be offended. I will applaud you for your tenacity and problem solving skills. After all, you deserve to have it. ...Just as you deserve to get a...
All "rail basic" blocks being used as stationary docks should be linked to a rail speed controller set to zero speed. That will cut down on unnecessary collision checks. Don't connect your turrets to the controller; just try to minimize collisions via your build methods. Try to give them...
Thanks dphilostrate.
I started off with just a few copy/paste templates but now I have an entire system setup that is reminiscent of Sim City 2000. (I feel old now)
Everything in the city is rigged for quick deployment from my templates and blueprints. I build the roads and power lines, then...
Let's be realistic here.
All we really want is to keep lazy plagiarists from stealing our work and using it to make an in-game buck or using against us in combat. That's NOT an unreasonable thing to ask for.
For all you PVP addicts; If you want to PVP in a ship you didn't build yourself, you...
The only thing I'd tweak about that is that a spy who steals a ship, shouldn't automatically know how to repair the stolen vessel in question. That way, a player couldn't just steal a ship and fly it home for repairs. They would have to reverse engineer the craft and rebuild it in order to...
I'd have to agree with this proposal. We NEED this.
I have a style that tends to stand out while offering a powerful (for size) combat loadout. Several players have been asking me to sell or even give them ships, designs and blueprints of my builds they like. I usually refuse such requests...
Did you connect a rail speed controller on all fixed-docked entities to set their speed to zero? This may cut down on the collision checks StarMade normally runs. Having too many entities that close together can cause lag as well, but there's not much that can be done about that.
Well, crap... Does anyone at least know how to quickly sort the blocks? That was my main reason for wanting to recycle. This stuff quickly gets disorganized and it's a real pain to sift through.
As you play StarMade, salvage and pick up loot clouds, you often end up with an endless pile of items you never use (do I really need 645 race gate computers?). I think it would be a good idea to have a way to recycle the components you don't need so you can turn them into something useful...
That, my friend, is from The Macross Saga; AKA RoboTech. That series was from way back in the 1980s when F-14s were THE top of the line military aircraft. Don't hate.
I'm glad you guys like the torpedoes. I need to get into making videos soon; as they are a lot of fun to use. The weird...
Aha!! File size was the issue.
I hope you guys like it!
Thanks man, I don't know if I'm quite up to his caliber yet but for you to say something like that means a lot.
Yeah, it's a persistent bug. We have to wait for Schine on this one.
This is my work-around to get the shipyard working again.
1) Place a block beneath the shipyard anchor to keep track of it's location, then delete the anchor.
2) Remove all items from the shipyard computer except the design...
Question: How do you get your fleet through a 90 meter wide warp gate when the fleet AI handles like a beached whale driven by drunken sailors using cattle prods?
Answer: Use Rapid Deployment... Basically strap a bunch of assault frigates to a giant 'booster ship' and fly it through the gate...
Oh yeah... I almost forgot.
The new 100x Launcher.
