Well, did a tutorial run again today and it's working alright now over here. There seems to be one flaw, when coming to the section were the linking of computers and modules is explained. Your first task is to link two cannon modules to a cannon computer, but the explaining text displayed...

I must have been playing with fire for, well, since ever then. :D Never had any problems landed on planets with a (small) ship just dropped on the planet floor... That is all in single player mode, so maybe that's the difference? ;) The only time I had myself re-spawn about a kilometer away...
