    Hi All,

I'm wondering about an effect I get from time to time on large faces constructed from hull blocks of the same type. An image says more then a thousand words, so here.

I'm very puzzled were this is coming from and if this can be avoided. I tried with and without shadow settings, but that doesn't change anything.

For completeness I added a file with the graphic specs and a log file.

its a lighting issue caused by the border with empty chunks. Place an unlinked area trigger on the line, it will fix it.

The long dark 'shadows'? Caused normally by wedge slopes crossing segment boarders. Get an area trigger and place it on top of the blocks with the banding. You won't see the area trigger in flight mode and it'll remove the banding per segment.

I expected as much since I tried several different graphic settings before posting this, but I wanted to make sure. ;)

Oh well, I'll use the workaround for build experiments like the above and live with it in survival for now, thanks for the info guys.
