Well it's a fictional ship in my example. I think you can only enter from the core to actually pilot the ship.
actually when i think about some AI battles i've started the ships seem to turn from the core.
I've been creating different ships(big ones or parts of ones) and i'm trying to consider...
I made a ship with a core blcok at the back of the ship and a cockpit module at the nose of the ship.
i'm turning but i'm viewing through the cockpit module and not the core. Where is my turning axis? The core, cockpit, myabe even the center of it all?
I'm thinking of taking some design ideas from this site http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/index.php. Being scientifically correct might not be to bad.
How would you do beds and such?
Also any specific dimensions. like 2 block high players?
I'm in!!!!. I've been working on a big ship with corridors but non of the rooms you suggested. I think i'll start over though because the rocket cannons i put on it suck compared to some other ships i made...
Did you send in a bug report?
If you go into the Starmade folder there should be an executible jar file that has CrashAndBugReport for the name. Click on it and send it in.
Well if someone one is hosting the server and your both playing in the same sever all you need to do is load the ship from the shop. You go to catalog and press load from local. Then type in the name of the ship and it should load up to the servers catalog. You can also do ths through admin...
As of now the AI(BOBBY block) does not have any code for repairs or any other automated behavior. It can only act as a seperate ship or a turret that always aims for the core of bad guy ships.
in later versions there should be added in Ai modes. personally i'm hopping for one that follows...
So you could create a line of docking modules that would allow you to move the docked object along that line. Like a rail?
I wouldn't mind that. Actually i can think of a couple neat thinks with that like if you also have the speed the docked object can move adjusted by wether or not it has...
Please do put it in the game but conrolled. It would be sweat to mine these things out or make them into some sort of hanger.

several versions ago i think shema changesd the asteroid generation code. This casued some odd gigantic asteroids to form but not like the wall more like a spire(for me). in a recent version i think the code was changed again and as a result this must happen for...
I can confirm this bug.
For instance i have a ship named "nugget" and one named "nuggetCruiser" if i try to load "nugget" either through the catalog or as a mob(spanw mobs command) the game will load "nuggetCruiser" instead.
I can also confirm it's not the core ID. i made a GunManS with one...

oddly enough i couldn't redo the laser bug after the first two times it happened. I guess thats a good thing but then again it might not of been the lasers that caused the game to crash :O

1. The bug/crash client doesn't seem to work. It just stays at "making report" for a very long time to infinity.
2. For some reason firing lasers appears to crash the game.
