      Jamming a home base wouldn't really help that much anyway since home base sectors are shown in the faction list. I am mainly concerned about secondary bases that aren't invincible and less well defended.

      A creative or "drafting" mode would be great. Basically you can design an entire ship using unlimited blocks since you are just designing your ship.       I really love missiles, but I do think they could use a little tweaking. Like the larger the missile, the lower the turn rate. Also requiring refillable missile racks might help balance. In know these have been suggested before.

      Yes, getting near a real black hole would be a terrible idea, unless you like being squashed flat. However there is a theory that going near certain black holes will warp spacetime kind of like a wormhole. But I wouldn't want to try it to find out.
