[VOTE] Should voting for Councilors require you to purchase the game?

I assume a person who hasn't paid the game is not really interested on hard development, and its only intention is to just spend some time playing. They wouldn't, and shouldn't really care at all. Making a minimum message requirement will only lead to flooding and pointless replies, like "omg i...

[VOTE] Should voting for Councilors require you to purchase the game?

While Duke's system seems nice and well-thought, I think it would be more practical to just let the ones who purchased the game to vote. Way easier to implement. After all, there are no plans given by the devs to add any kind of advantage that the people who purchased the game would have over...

Every single one of your favorite servers sucks: here's why

I will confess, three years later and I still read the word "griefing" around. Geez, people still don't get this is not minecraft to have it's terms. Gives me good laughs. Even with the recent methods on separating accounts, I will repeat once more, admins should never be involved on faction...

How do I make this game fun again ?

Now I see that the OP's reason to find a lack of fun on the building aspect on the game is different than mine, so I'll state some stuff. I am capable of building good stuff, but now the obligatory components like logic drives and docked reactors/weapons are pretty much obligatory. As much as I...

Fix StarMade, Release the frakkin API!

Thinking about it, I might give Rag a chance. I don't even build anything anymore, so the blueprint problem won't matter.

      DISCONTINUED

While I personally support the usage of mass limits to favor the performance of the game, we must acknowledge that the name EE carried always meant the opposite of all of this.

      Planned A "filled" Galaxy

I'd rather have a good sized single galaxy, with more different features on it, instead of the current layout we have on multiple galaxies. The concept of "starmade is infinite with 99999 possible galaxies" always sounded bland and impractical to me, I criticized this approach since the very...

      The Thryn [recruiting]

Is slow travel a contributing factor to the decline of PvP?

Unfortunately, this theory was already proven that doesn't work. GenXNova had a very restrictive ship size on its rules, and even with that, the server was pretty much unplayable thanks to it moderately high population.

Is slow travel a contributing factor to the decline of PvP?

It doesn't matter how expensive and advanced the server's hardware is, get around twenty players online and ping issues will appear, making any kind of combat unsettling.

Is slow travel a contributing factor to the decline of PvP?

Honestly, I'm gonna sound like a jerk but really that people would be better off on single player instead of loading and using the very few server capacity we have available due to the games poor netcode.... Besides, the issue with pvp is old and obvious now. The game is grindy now and people...

StarSide Blood and Steel: Season 2

Life is unfair. I had 9999 of weekends which I did nothing at all and stayed at home. Exactly on the weekends close and the one into the event, people begin to call me to leave and do stuff outside this boring city.

Where did all the playerbase and faction fun go?

Ah, yeah. I'm still getting confused with the changes, we used to call mass, now block, derp. Silly me.

Where did all the playerbase and faction fun go?

Wait, bro; Didn’t GenX had a 50k ship block limit? I'm pretty sure it had... Did they drop it?

Power changes are ridiculous and broken

I confess that if that happens, I'd be very happy. I'd even consider becoming active on the game again.

      12 Months since Steam

Let's go back to the point, forget about server-side. The player activity drop is happening on the whole ambient of SM slowly, since March. The damage caused a year ago is permanent, the players that have came, tried, and got bored (be it due to bugs or simply lack of content) are never comming...

      Ship Name Suggestion Thread

When it comes to naming, Starmade has an issue - it only allow us to give one label. While, the best thing to do would allow two different ones - the proper name of the vessel, and the name of the class of the vessel when dealing with military-grade standards from a faction.

Where did all the playerbase and faction fun go?

I still believe that one of the reasons of the drop is the current grindy nature of the game. Some old faces that I used to hang out with quitted because of it. And technically, so did I.
