EDIT
Change another setting in your settings.cfg
USE_INTEGER_VERTICES = true
to
USE_INTEGER_VERTICES = false
If that doesn't work, try the one below.
---
Replace the cubegrp.vert.glsl file with the one I uploaded here.
It's located in your ./StarMade/data/shader/cube/groups folder.
Several settings that are hidden in the menu, as these are settings you're not supposed to touch in normal situations. Accidentally changing one or more could ruin it and require a settings wipe.
Did it help or do you still get an error? If the error is different, I wouldn't mind seeing another...
Odd.
Your GPU doesn't support shader4, which is checked for. It doesn't support it, yet it says it does to the game. Resulting in this crash as it definitely cannot use those features.
As the GPU reports something false, there's not much you can do about it on that side. You can however force...
I assume it happens with all structures. I don't know the reason yet so my assumption could still be incorrect which is why I request a blueprint of this specific ship . I know the issue did occur on it without a doubt and I won't be wasting my time trying to reproduce it on a ship that might...
You may find additional information here if needed: phab.starma.de/w/bugs/create_bug_task/
I want to add that your reports are automatically private. Only a few Schine members can see them before they get processed so don't be afraid to post anything confidential.
If you include confidential...
Could you PM me a blueprint of the ship that had this problem (the one you've shown in that screenshot)?
And what did you do specifically before noticing you had no power/thrust/etc? Just simply logging in or loading a sector and bam, it's all gone?
Does it fix itself after re-logging or...
Clarification: We didn't know about these exploits until recently (reported on 13th august), a way to reproduce was provided too which allowed us to fix the issue. Any exploits we know off get fixed in the next release, provided we can reproduce them.
It would have been the same situation here...
Right, so in a few cases you only want it to apply for the 6 faces of the system hm...
Noenter/exit will have to change a bit too, as jumping would need to check the systems in between instead of only the destination and origin sector.
Could also make no enter/no exit work as a zone. You can...
I like it although I would rather follow the syntax provided by Benevolent27
The system_chmod could just apply sector_chmod 4096 times, shouldn't be a problem as you can get rid of them just as easily.
Should be easy enough to add, and can offer quite a lot of extra options for server...
I'll make a bug report for it, shouldn't be hard to fix.
Never noticed it myself as I barely use the arrow keys and rely on my mousewheel to change values.
This should not be hardware related, length of ship might do something but I can't reproduce that either (on a 1.6KM long ship).
Rotators shouldn't matter at all either.
Maybe it's some specific setting causing the area to go offset. Maybe upload your settings.cfg here so I can try that out and...
Can't reproduce, even with a resolution that small. The advanced build mode area on the right is definitely off limits for clicks like this, as any build or remove action gets ignored if the mouse cursor was within that area.
Our ABM overlay does do that, what refirendum is experiencing is odd...
Awesome, then it does sound like some external program interfering with the launcher extracting the files. As you manually extracted it here, it went fine.
Perhaps now it will be fine for future updates if you use that installation path, if not then you'll have to manually download it from here...
Could try 1 more thing perhaps, doing a manual download and extracting it: http://files.star-made.org/build/starmade-build_20170718_194348.zip
Make sure to extract it within the folder it has to be, then point your launcher to that folder. You can always change your installation directory back...
Hm, seems your installation has a lot more missing or broken files.
This time, delete the textures folder, located in ./StarMade/data/.
Then use "Force Download All & Overwrite" instead with the launcher, it will take longer but should get rid of any broken file you still have.
In case you...
It looks like you have incomplete files, which makes you stop loading the game as it fails there.
D:/Installmap/steam/steamapps/common/StarMade/StarMade/data/language/english/pack.xml
Delete the language folder (and nothing else), then redownload your game version with the launcher
Could you upload your log files? That should show where's it going wrong.
They're located in your ./StarMade/logs folder, just zip up the entire folder and upload it here on SMD.
It's because many of our versions are not forwards compatible, you can't always use ships from a later version into an older one.
It does work just fine the other way around though, content from older versions should load in just fine in any new one.
Awesome, this shader fix will be included...
