Now that I have a working PC again, here's some progress on the 114-1. The exterior is mostly done, some details, docks for AMS turrets and an airlock.
I also have a screenshot showing from top to bottom: 125-1, 114-1, 116-2 Marksman
I also think of making a variant of the 116-2, which has the forward facing, side mounted AMS turrets replaced with fixed mounted gun pods so it isn't completely defenseless while the main gun is reloading

Nice touch with the docked/inset wedges for adding the angled paint stripes! While I've used this technique for angled windows and insetting my logo before, never thought of angled paint stripes. Looks really nice.

Having the wedges in the hull like that is accomplished by building them on a seperate docked entity one block out, then sliding it in like a puzzle piece. Sorry if I failed at explaining, OP might could do better xD
Here is the first screenshots of the cruiser replacement's exterior I'm comfortable with putting on SMD. A few notes. this started as (and is still intended to be) the superstructure.
Here's the most comparible screenshot of the cruiser
Now onto the new build. Just like the core room, the superstructure (which is far from finished) turned out larger than the complementing structure on the cruiser. However, in this case we're talking about a more extreme size difference. The curent superstructure is larger than the entire heavy cruiser, I guess I'm building a titan now. Also it turned out a bit more star destroyer-esque than intended, but I like it
You may think these armor plates are very bland right now and you'd be right for the most part, due to me not having spend much time on detailing so far. However, I have this a bit older screenshot.
I really like how these advanced armor lines are more or less visible within the standard armor depending on lighting.
If you want to know how the bridge currently looks from the inside, here's a screenshot featuring a few screens saying "PLACEHOLDER" (The central window is the rear window that can be seen in the screenshot above)
If you wonder why there haven't been any updates lately, I've been mainly busy with faction related stuff which is why the ships featured here had to take the backseet. Maybe some of the stuff will appear as RP versions on CC at some point in the future. For now I'll leave you with a link to some Engine Porn
I'm not dead (yet).
I've done some changes to the front section, so the whole bridge/superstructure area will probably end up roughly at around 300m, with the ship probably coming in at 900m (so still big).
I also plan on reducing the ammount of AMS turrets, however I intend to use a design with more outputs than originally planned.
I thought I post something again (yay, no necro warning). However, it will be a little different, but I hope you don't mind.
Today I want to talk a little bit about the ships from my fleet submission (MeRobo's Fleet Submission 1) and aesthetic changes I want to apply to them, which are mainly targeted at achieving two things
Allowing for better interiors on the three larger vessels (currently they only have rudimentary corridors with too much lighting leading to the core, I want them to look a little more like this (core room of a larger vessel I built in the same style)
Making them compatible with power 2.0. This again mainly affects two of the three larger vessels, due to them most likely needing stabilizers. To avoid the averse effect of visible reactor streams (which in my opinion are hidious) either on the exterior or within the interior I would have the options of either using a stab ring around the reactor (which apparently is in exploit and therefor not an option) or reshaping parts of the exterior to allow for directing the streams around the interiors. Also the larger ships could do with a little broadening to help with integrity.
A third and minor goal is to make them a little prettier (these builds are over 1.5 years old by now)
So let's start out with the ship that needs the least changes, the Sai Varo (I'll use spoilers for each ship so this post doesn't get too long).
Here the intended changes are very minor, I want to change the composition of the inner sphere to save a little mass (Although not marked, also intended on larger ships) and remove one of the dockers.
So let's continue by size, from now on there will be more in the spoilers, next up is the Kuna Mevi.
This ship is one of the two needing reshaping due to reactor streams, which I intend to do by changig up the upper front curve. Another change I want to do is making the transition from the lower fin to the circle a bit smoother. The other two markings are for a detail I'm not particularly happy with and the docker I want to place in a slightly different position. This ship also really could do with a little bit more width which I plan to achieve by adding an additional left and right of the central layer (which itself needs some love)
This is the one ship out of those with interior that probably will get the least reworking. I really don't like the door design on this ship, including the docker placement. The rear of the top fin is a bit too flat in my opinion and could do with a little change, the tow marked parts on the front could look a little bit more circular in my opinion. Like the other two larger ships, this one is supposed to get an extra layer near the center to increase internal space (and therefor room for interior and better possibility for getting bearable integrity for systems.
This is the oldest of the bunch and in my opinion it's showing. It has the same door design as the Tasu Seto, therefor the same applies. Another part already discussed on another ship are the reasons for reshaping parts of the frontal curviture, although this time it's both lower and and upper part. This also will get the same broadening measures. The turrets of this really need a little love, I think I could pull of a little prettier barrel of the same overall shape and I'm certain that I could make the base actually spherical. Lastly there is the issue of the central "spikes" on the rear which are sticking off in a weird angle and look odd in general. I think of replacing them with one better looking one.
And here are some nice screenshots of all of them because why not?

Yeah, I hope I get the best results possible, especially for those which need a bit more reshaping. However, I won't touch these befor the weapons update comes close, because refitting ships for two updates in a row is nothing I intend to do. I also hope the refitted versions (once they come about) will be okay with the devs as refits of the fleet submission.
Lastly I want to thank you for your friendly words about my ships.
