Hi would it be possible for you to make the hull of the USS Relativity, a Wells class timeship from Star Trek Voyager. It is approximately 374.5 meters long, and i would like it with white advanced Armour if that would be possible.
ooh yes, I have been looking for one of these

    So...

This is pretty neat, and I think I have a request, but it's a pretty damn big request.

Has anyone asked for the UNSC Pillar of Autumn yet? (I'm sorry if someone has, I don't really have time right now to look through 16 pages)

The problem is that the pillar of autumn was 1,171 meters long, which is a bit over the maximum of 1,000 meters.

I don't have a model either (I'm typing this on a phone and, like I said earlier, I'm a bit struck on time at the moment), but, I would appreciate it one hell of a lot if you could do this.

Thanks. If you could do this I'd- well, I don't really know what I'd do, but it would be great.

    EDIT:

I see some people stating the block type and color, so,

Advanced armor, dark grey I guess.

    EDIT 2:

Something like this I suppose, but I couldn't find the model for this specific interpretation of it (there are lots of models, but not all of them look the most like the actual pillar of autumn):

I believe there are a couple well built pillar of autumns on the docks. But ill see if i can find a respectable model. I wont however be able to make it much bigger then 1000m.

Hey uh, Omega ive seen a few people ask for models from Conquest frontier wars. I have the game, and i have a few programs that can open the files that contain everything, im pretty sure i can dig out the model files for you, if you would be interested in importing them over.
If you can dig them out and get them into obj, stl or 3ds format. Then i will see what i can do.

It would be fantastic if you would do my favorite ship in all of sci-fi. I tried to import it myself but it keeps having missing bands through the hull. Anyway.. It's the TCS Concordia from Wing Commander 2

Sadly, the textures are missing. Let me know how to get you the file.
I've already uploaded this ship here a few pages back.. albeit without coloration as the model was just plain mesh.. but thats easy enough to fix in game. Dropbox - Concordia MK2.sment

Guess i should update the (imported ships) list on the first post soon.

Ahh, thanks! It is a different model from the one I posted (It is the Wing Commander: Saga version). I'll see what I can do with this one.

Yeah, the problem with that was that they were either too small (lancake's was 1:2 scale), or they were outdated or weren't as detailed as I would have hoped.

Although, I probably could take one of those and refit it...

Oh well, it's fine if you can't, I could try to free-hand it too if I wanted

I tried my best to get the ship in, and i did.. However it is not without issues. For one, it is too large for me to even attempt to get both sides exactly symmetrical (although it should be close). It was also so tall that the software i use started to overlap itself causing a portion of the bottom to end up on top of the ship (you might be able to copy it and paste it back on the bottom). Also the model i used (( the only decent one i could find> UNSC Pillar Of Autumn )) has a flame mesh that comes out of the engines that would have to be deleted so that you could see the engines in all of there glory (easy enough).. with all of that said. This certainly would give you one hell of a start and i hope it helps. But this is why i try to limit the size.. Otherwise they just become more and more unmanageable the larger they become..

    Holy sh*t!

You actually managed it? Wow, that is true dedication, I can not thank you enough.

Funnily enough that was the model I had been looking at as well, but I didn't want to send that to you in case you could find any better.

I'll be getting to work on this immediately, I can not thank you enough.

    EDIT:

Oh and when (if) I finish the whole thing, I will give you massive props and credit you for sure, because I basically just need to do the interior now.

Once again, cannot thank you enough.

    EDIT 2:

Also, I apologize if this was a pain in the ass or if this inconvenienced you, I was hoping it would have been easier to do than it ended up being, and I am sorry about that. If you ever need anything, I can be sure to help.

    EDIT (too many edits):

Alright, I have loaded it in and...

Well, this will definitely give me a head start in terms of dimensions and shape, but, just about everything else will need to be fixed. Which is fine, just means I get to polish it and it make more my own.

Hopefully won't get any copyright things by doing that if I upload this to the dock when I'm finished (if the author of the actual model were to do copyright strike on me).

Anyways, it is beautiful, I've always wanted a pillar of autumn of this size to play around with.

You aren't going to get copyright infringement completing that model in voxel form on starmade.. If that were the case.. he would get one from bungie for making the model in the first place. Point is that people have been doing it in mine craft and in SM, along with making 3d models of sci-fi spaceships for years. So long as you do not sell it for monetary gain you will be fine..

    Yeah, I guess so.

Just thought that maybe by literally taking what he made and putting it in the game, not even buildi-

Well, I mean, I am going to modify a lot, so I can just say it is my own take on his thing, if he even sees it (which he won't) and if he did decide to copyright it (which he shouldn't or, like you said, he'd be a hypocrite) so, I mean, I see your point.

Also, i love that this thing dwarfs my current largest ship, and yet it is still only just a shell:

    starmade-screenshot-0022.png

itll probably take me around 30 hours before this thing is ready to be wedged, there are quite a few things that need to be fixed (random walls everywhere, the many differences in mirroring, the copy/pasting i need to do to fix the bottom of the ship, etc). But then I can start making the interior and maybe the power update will be done when im ready to do its systems.

sorry about hijacking your thread a bit, just wanted to show anyone that sees this how awesome this ship is.

As i pointed out multiple times.. the shell has many issues. most of them could have been fixed if it were half of that size.. But at 1100m. smedit cannot handle it without it overlapping itself and crashing often. the game cant handle it in the sense of copying 1100m on one side to make the other symmetrical will cause the game to crash every single time you attempt to paste it.. so this ship is only for those who intend to build a POA no matter what and need a good starting point. nothing more then that. this is also why i tried to implement a 1000 meter limit.. but even that is often too much.

What you might try is literally making just one half of the ship. Then, using the "replace" tool's functionality, you can duplicate it piece by piece using the mirror tool.

Of course, that does make it harder on the receiver's end, but you know what, that's fine, and it's not that much work compared to building the whole thing by hand.

Alright, so I know this might not be possible but I would really like to see the USS Orville (ECV-197-Orville), from the new show 'The Orville' imported to starmade, I've been trying to hand build it the last couple days, and also been trying to find a 3d model somewhere online with no luck. If theres anything you could find as to 3d models or importing the ship that'd be amazing.

I haven't had any luck finding a model for the orville either. If i were trying to recreate one though. I think i would use a Star trek Prometheus-class ship model as a rough basic shape from whcih to build off from. This guy has a decent looking version to work with. I'm building a 1:1 scale Orville right now and it's looking pretty good so far. I'm going to share the shell when it's done and then post a finished version later. I hope to have the shell ready in a week or so.
