We do, but not enough ram to just cache the entire server in memory, thus we need a hard drive, and computer hardware costs shekels, so that's what we've been waiting on :P. Once that's out of the way, then its just back-end stuff and we'll be good to go.

What are the config plans for cannon and dmg pulse if so?

I'm kind of concerned this is going to be another venture of a server requiring community donations to exist. Awaiting a mere $200 or so to buy a hard drive decreases confidence in the server. Hosting in a data center is pretty expensive long term. This is not something that should be expected with such a small community.

The config is still up in the air, and we are very aware of everything that a server requires to run. The only reason we started this venture in the first place was to make sure the server can be hosted without ANY help from the community, which is why we have been very hesitant to take any money from the people of this community. Rest assured, contrary to the popular belief that seems to be spreading, we're not 12 year olds with daddies credit card. We have set up this server in such a way that it will be entirely self sufficient from any outside help.

It makes me happy that people care this much about our server, but please stop stressing over it and let us do our jobs. We are an experienced team and this is not our first rodeo.

That is largely up to Schine, not us. It is good, however, to have Elwyn back as a major gathering-place for the community when people do come back.

I just wanted to say, we didn't post the thread to hype it up. Okay... we did a little. But we also want feedback on what was wrong with EE1, and what we can do to be better. Which we have been doing in our discord. It's actually been really beneficial, getting everyone's opinion on stuff.

All hardware is onsite. We just need the wrapper writing, which Boom is responsible for, and config setting up, which we will do in the discord with all of your help . it shouldn't be much longer now. I know that sounds awfully doughnut-y, but unfortunately, it's the best we can do right now.

We're getting closer to the launch of the server, so we're working on the config. A good amount of discussion between ourselves and people in the discord has already happened, but we still want suggestions.

That is a link for a google doc containing a default BlockBehaviourConfig. Please leave suggestions for values as comments, along with the reason to change the setting. Please bare in mind we're looking for tweaks that will make life easier and combat more fun rather than overhauls. We will update the values in the config once we have decided to accept a change.

We've setup a new channel in our discord for the discussion. Feel free to talk and argue in there about anything config related.

So, what version of EE is this? I know I haven't been around the game in a while but I've heard of at least 2 other attempts I believe. I would also like to point out that EE wasn't the largest server for at least the 2 years I played and I'm pretty sure EE1 died soon after Koderz gave up on RedShift which by the way was the largest server for almost its entire 2+ year life.

I wish you the best of luck, but in StarMades current state I'm not sure why you'd invest in yet another server.

Oh almost forgot! More than 4 cores is pointless, and more than about 32GB of ram is really pointless. Hope you have at least a 0.5gb/s uplink to run it on though.
