The state of player interaction in Starmade has diminished significantly over the past year. The closing of the original EE sent an ripple through the community - the largest server closing, left hundreds of people without a home.

To clarify, this is the original staff, with hardware that is already purchased, and will not be an attempt. It is going up, the staff know what needs to be done, and they ran the original EE for 2 years without major issues.

The server hardware is owned, not rented, therefore server presence will be around for as long as Starmade will run on 8 cores, and 128gb of ram, the server itself is located in a datacenter Canada.

With the current state of Starmade's community, and the original original team feeling recovered enough to resume admin duty - Elywn Returnity, will be returning in it's true, original form.

Server hardware provided by myself, and will be operational in the coming months.

BDLS we were so taken with 2.slow that we totally ignored the question - it's being hosted out of a datacenter in Canada.
We 100% own the hardware being used - so rent is no issue. If we decide to open donation, all money will go towards upgrading server hardware, so you can more efficiently ram bigger ships into bigger planets

Whee - some questions (first one is the same as Lecics):

- Which faction point config?
- Will you keep the ship config (weapons, energy, shields, thrust etc...) vanilla or at least in a state where ships optimized for vanilla will still be optimized? For example weapon/sector range increase, warpage ranges and more thrust are fine, but it would suck if ships needed a server-specific systems fit

We will be using the reversed FP config because it's too good of an idea not to implement, and as for the config, we are going to be keeping it as close to vanilla as possible, we're only tweaking a few things to keep things consistent with our larger sector sizes.
