CURRENTLY BROKEN WORKING ON FIX (15 sept 2021)
This mod allows a basic control over what blueprints pirate(any faction) stations can use, and also allows to automatically replace already existing, unwanted stations (like power 1.0 vanilla stations).
!!There are NO requirements to replace any files anywhere. There are NO requirements to wipe your world. the mod can be turned off and on anywhere.!!
Basic steps are:
Station is loaded
station is checked if its already listed, and if so if it uses an allowed blueprint.
If not, station is deleted, a new one is created in its place from a new, randomly selected blueprint from a list of allowed blueprints for this faction.
Setting up the mod:
- Download the mod.
- Start a world (SP or dedicated).
- type !rpc help to get an overview over commands.
- add a replacer for the faction (-1 pirates, /faction_list for more info)
- add a blueprint to this replacer
- stations will be tested and replaced when loading
done.
you can add more blueprints, remove unwanted blueprints (stations of that type will get replaced again), deploy more replacers for other factions, delete replacers for other factions etc etc.
All data is saved persistently across server restarts.
I do recommend that you backup your world before deploying this mod. Im confident in it, but bugs can still happen.
Limitations of the mod:
new blueprints are selected randomly from the available list.
blueprints not existent in this list are automatically replaced.
the mod doesnt care about the state, inventory, docked entites etc of a station (only faction remains).
Blueprints have to be in the catalog manager, this mod does not autodownload anything.
Keep in mind that it is produced with the goal to automate the process of getting up to date pirates, and not for empire building or similar.
