no wonder you won the station competition long ago......
i wish there would be a new competition and that you make 6 stations for that competition.
just geez m8 awesome looks and ideas. i can't wait to see that in virtual reality!
from my understanding there will be another station contest at some point in the future. Perhaps i might enter again :)

This one was suppose to be a simple replacement for my creative universe station but i got carried away and it turned into this. what happens when I work on something for too long, i keep getting more ideas on what to add.

Does it come with a playermodel that's 10x regular size?
Not yet..maybe we can get NPC giants in the Fauna update though, :D

well, remember veritechs are often upwards of 60 feet tall (20 blocks) That should be plenty of room to create a more 'complete' transforming robot.

Maybe I should make one... can you link to a camera in a subassembly?
in fighter mode that thing is 12 blocks tall, and counting attaches transformed it's at 27. I think a mistake I made was trying to make it as close to VF size as possible though. really pushing for space now, especially with all the logic blocks/rotators you need to give some sense of dynamic movement..not big on all the exposed systems either. I did set aside space for 'arms' that can act as turrets..hard part is making them pretty. I'm not sure on if you can link camera's though, will have to give that a shot.

    Tekkit-style quarry.

Note: blocks are not eaten by quarry because of gif recording (it's so laggy, without gif recording blocks are eaten far better).
Also gif is in timelapse in game it works slower like in Minecraft.

    Thats racist!

I'm elated and really humbled. People seem to really like the Lost Shangra-La (fun fact, its actually spelled Shangri-La but i didn't realized that for a very long time) and i love hearing about peoples first time encountering it while exploring.

I love Ghost ships. I love the idea of a mysterious husk of a ship floating aimlessly through the void of space. The sense of awe and mystery to suddenly see, not a space station, but a giant ship is something I knew Starmade needed.

A recreation of the Elite Dangerous docking pad.
Rimmer wanted one so we tried to build something together ending up with this version and a smaller one for Rimmer's ship

Impractical but fancy as most logic systems.

Salvage beams sound about right, though the beam firing would spam messages about how you can't salvage a block on a ship that isn't overheating.

I might have tried that and it might have exploded in my face :p
Perhaps if you use a mechanism to hold the rounds waiting in the clip a meter apart from the round in the chamber, the warhead won't collide with them as it fires.
I fully intend to try this next time I have a computer I can run it on.

Also, crimson, have you considered building a full solar system hologram? I totally want to do that...

Salvage beams being able to extract resources from storage would be kinda neat to have.
One could maybe even be able to steal from peoples storage devices that way.

Don't think theft via that method would be particularly popular from the perspective of the victims. Teach you to leave storage boxes open to space though, I guess. And yeah, that seems a reasonable transfer mechanic between entities.
