Reveresed April fools: The new planets are realIs this update actually gonna be implemented or is this an April Fools joke?
It does not look curved to me, I think it's an optical illusion. Put a straight edge or your mouse pointer next to the horizon, the gap between the two does not seem to change.
schema Is this horizon slightly curved or is that just the hill and/or the camera "lens"? It looks kind of curved, but if it's not I'd like that debunked so the hype thrusters don't overload. They're already piping hot from all the pretty stuff.
But... you just said something about it!I don't think we will be saying anything about what's in that gif till it's good and ready.
Unless the planet is massive enough to make the curve imperceptible! LolIt does not look curved to me, I think it's an optical illusion. Put a straight edge or your mouse pointer next to the horizon, the gap between the two does not seem to change.

Now that would be sweet!Unless the planet is massive enough to make the curve imperceptible! Lol
That's kind of what I thought. Most likely this is some sort of planet size upgrade that avoids putting the whole daggum thing in memory at the same time, combined with freaking awesome (and I assume further optimized) terrain generation. That's just a theory though. It does not look curved to me, I think it's an optical illusion.

One can but hopeThat's kind of what I thought. Most likely this is some sort of planet size upgrade that avoids putting the whole daggum thing in memory at the same time, combined with freaking awesome (and I assume further optimized) terrain generation. That's just a theory though.
Same here, I need my Capital City with Spaceport. One can but hope
You took the blue pill, didn't you?Well I know one thing: if Schine doesn't clear the air with some actual info, I'm gonna have to go see a doctor. It's been over 48 hours, and I've got some...deflation issues.
Buddy, I didn't just take it, I ground it up into a fine powder and snorted it through a rolled up $1 Bill I found torn up on the floor of a gas station bathroom...You took the blue pill, didn't you?
They don't really need to be. The resources are so cheap, players are building their own planets in seconds now. Can you imagine the implications? With this new minimal planet mentality, once helpless planetary civilizations can now attach thrusters to their homeland and avoid annihilation! Are these new planets already added to the game?
