Can you lot take your bitching to another thread please?

In terms of the chart itself: Rendering the 3D models of the ships to use on it would both lower the quality and increase the time between chart updates, especially because I have literally no idea how to use *any* 3D software :u and AFAIK every attempt at rendering the ships I've seen with the exception of Crimson and Crusade comes out at significantly lower quality than ingame screenshots. Also it's a lot more fiddly to get values for lighting and such just right in there, whereas in game all you need is a sunny sector and to position the ship right and it's okay.

A chart update WILL come before Christmas, BTW.

I think this is a good time to mention your sizing is off Markus. 150 or so meters isn't a battleship. That's a frigate at best to be brutally honest.
Hmmm... This Ion Eradicator is 166 meters long and its just a turret.

Ohh... I also work on on two more ships, a interceptor-cruiser with ca.540 meters and a railgun themed snipership with over 400 meters. But the shells of both arent ready, the snipership also carrys 5 corvette sized ships that also equipped with sniper weapons (or torpedos dont know what I will finally take).

that's up to the builder, Thad.
If it's a battleship in his book then it's a battleship.

Shy.png Thanks for sticking up for me, Nauvran.

Normal.png Actually, there is a reason why the ships are so small:

REAL EXPLANATION: It was my first large ship; I was so pleased with myself, I felt it deserved the honor of being labelled a battleship.

LORE EXPLANATION: The fleet of the United Galaxies Police Department is designed to be effective while staying inexpensive (with some pricier exceptions). A larger ship can only protect a single location, while the same money's worth of the UGPD's "Broadswords" can cover half of a star system. Because of the low-cost design philosophy, the ships in this fleet were classified on a skewed classification system.
In addition, unlike some larger ships, which use unarmored hulls, the UGPD fleet uses a large amount of medium armor, with heavy armor protecting the vital parts of the ship. This design enables ships to continue to fight or flee even after the shields are compromised.
