I am Xielvanic. sometimes Mirias, Sometimes Emah. primarily Xielvanic.

I own a small financial blackhole called H4v3n - you can find my crap at h4v3n.com - and i enjoy hosting servers. As it is, i'm currently figuring out this wonderful game before releasing my current server to the wild, but i'm loving this (game. the mechanics are wonderful, the software is wonderful, and i'm assuming the people making it are wonderful)

I enjoy building disgustingly large ships, with a lot of firepower, and am quite competitive by nature. I enjoy short walks on the beach, as long ones often result in time too much time spent, and wine. I LOVE wine.

I enjoy creating and modding games, hosting and managing forums, and overall. i dont like things to lag. the general mentality of "if i can do something bettter, why dont i?" is kind of what drives me when it comes to computers.

I'm super friendly and would love to meet all of you :)

I thank you for your kindness and guidance in advance.

    Howdy, I'm Neil.

I'm 33, a post-graduate student studying Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, and also work part-time as a 'Information Technology Specialist' - basically my boss didn't know what to call me. I can do pretty much anything related to CS, though my strengths are rather more towards the low-level, hardware/OS side.

My flatmate showed me StarMade about a month ago, and I decided to give it a whirl. I like big things, and have a preference for form over function. That said, I decided to make a little logic system to activate some lights on my currently progressing ship, and somehow got hooked on the logic systems.

My goal had previously been to make a CPU in-game, and I achieved that. Posts elsewhere, blah blah blah. I'm now looking forward to trying to make an awesome space station with revolving sections on rails - not sure how that'll go, but we'll see. Assuming I finish my other builds >< Though, the temptation is now to make a pipelined processor, or other related hardware such as a NIC - sheesh, I feel sick just thinking of how sick that would be.

    Cheers.

    Good time, colleagues.
I'm Andrei aka vuvko, 21. Studing applied math and CS and working in computer vision group as a reseacher.
I love games, most of it. I like RPGs, strategies, adventures, blah-blah-blah. Also fan of tabletop games, especially tabletop RPGs, and have little collection.
I was talled about SM not long ago by my friend. First, I wasn't convinced enough since Minecraft isn't my favored game. But after farming asteroids and planets, and trying to siege Alpha station, I found SM on top of my Steam games.
For now, I try building some ship concepts and try to see how good it works, but without comparing it to anything but pirates... well, just spending time building.

Hi, I'm a generic 27 years old space nerd and I love StarMade, which is why I'm actually here posting in this thread believe it or not! I hail from the kingdoms of the north ! ..no not that one.. ..I meant the one with the maple leaf on its flag!
My nickname is actually taken from Red Alert 2 : Yuri's Revenge, and refers to the most stupid and useless unit in the whole game, the psi commando! I totally regret wasting that spy..

I'm a programer by profession, specializing in C++. I did a lot of Java, VB, and C# too, and I messed around with Lua as well.
And I looove tinkering with things I shouldn't. I love reverse-engineering, and I've been mainly working on reversing pokemon games in the past and present. I love working with video games, designing them, figuring out inner workings, etc. Until I hit math issues and my brain dies.. And I've read way too much about gameplay design for not depressing over the fact that there are hardly any chances I'd make it into the game design field!
I'm also a total Pokemon nerd btw.

Some of my most memorable space/sci-fi games are X-Wing, StarFox SNES, Mass Effect, arguably Mechwarior2, X-COM UFO Defense and X-COM Apocalypse, X3 : Terran Conflict, and I'm probably forgetting a bunch !
And I'm fairly sure I saw something in StarMade that appealed to my acquired taste from playing those games extensively and wondering why I couldn't do whatever I want in space!
    Did I mention I'm a Pokemon nerd ?

Some of the things I want to do in this game surface from my first few hours of play, where I lost about 3, hard-earned, brand new ships to pirates stragglers ( guided missiles Isanths, thousands of meters away.. what else ? ..same old story as everyone.. ) in 3 different but close-by occurrences. Partly because the trading guild piled up about 10 of its ship around my planet, driving my frame rate down to hell..
But, I digress. For now, I want mainly to build stuff to destroy pirates!

I already made the usual "killer shoebox of doom" that could pretty much destroy most stations and stock pirate ships. But, that ship wasn't nearly big enough !

So then I made a frigate! ..with a really big gun ! ..and about 5 missiles weapons in my toolbar slots(I couldn't add anymore than that...) and 16 turrets.. then I ditched the turrets because I was sick of rebuilding them every 5 minutes, and put even more guns on the ship instead! >:)
And that just won't do either...

My on-going quest for revenge and tormenting NPCs can't seem to be satisfied for now. So basically, I'm just building random junk in the dev build until the game gets more features implemented and more PVE opportunities! (I'm hitching for boarding NPCs capital ships.. Thanks to X3:TC introducing me to the most frustrating and tedious, but oh so incredibly rewarding world of boarding capitals and selling them or using them to cap other capitals ! But right now the game lacks both NPC capitals, actual NPCs characters, and of course, boarding is all but possible thanks to faction locks and shields.)

And I'm also possibly going to join a server one of these days, if I can find one not managed by a 5 years old or filled with bored people camping fresh spawns. Preferably a sever filled with a bunch of pleasant people !

    Hello all,

I'm Chris aka Cat19, 25 year old Software QA Engineer from Denver, CO. I toyed with Starmade a couple years ago, but only recently started playing again.

As of right now I'm just building creatively on my local. I set a goal for myself of building 5 unique Frigates and releasing them as a ship pack. So far I have two done and will be starting work on the third shortly. Here is a preview if you're interested...

At some point I might join a server but for the time being I'm just having fun building.

I've had the game since Aug of 2014, just haven't really had the time to play or anything. Lately I've been following StarMade and I decided to take the plunge and make some YouTube videos of this.

As far as who I am, just someone who has grown up with video games, so why stop playing them now. I record and upload to YT for the purpose of preserving my work in some manner. I hate wasting time in video games, lol!

My plans within the series I'm doing is to go wild with it. Meaning I plan on playing with the factions, building planetary bases, orbital bases, and even deep space bases. Even shops to see how those work via the players and factions. I have a server running that is a whitelisted server and so we will see if I can gather decent group of people who want to do something similar. Then we could get into some PvP action to see how well that all works. Of course there will be space ships of various sizes and uses. Want to see what I can build on this level as well.

Anyways, StarMade is the game I've been searching for that allows one to be creative and sandbox style, with survival aspects. As always, a special thanks to the devs for making such a great game!

Hey everyone! I've been playing Starmade since mid-December and have been on the forums following what's going on with the game, but have finally gotten around to actually creating my profile! I'm pretty excited to see where this game is going and am glad to be along for the ride!

Hello everyone, again! It's been months and MONTHS since I was last here, but I decided recently that as fine and dandy as the /r/starmade community is, I should really be more involved in the REAL forums for the game that I love.

So here you go! I've been playing StarMade since August of 2013, and have really enjoyed the evolution of the game since those early days. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING MORE FUN. So that's a good think. I've been featuring StarMade regularly on my YouTube channel since the first of the major crafting overhauls of the last year, and it continues to be my favorite game that I get to play. I'm an comicbook style artist, and building games like Starmade really allow me to be creative!

I'm looking forward to the future of StarMade, and I have to say that so far... it's been one helluva ride!

    'allo!

    I'm Yrjosmiel.
Don't ask for my real name, you're looking at it right now!

I am an 8th grader, living a kind of normal life in the Philippines.
I found out about this game in Steam when I was really bored and started to look for games that are sandbox and space-related. The first time I saw this game, I nearly gave up my hopes in playing this game because (I thought) you needed to pay 10 USD. I read in Steam that it has a free demo, so I tried it. I managed to convince my parents into getting this because I liked what I see. I wanted to support the devs, too.

(the trailers were oh my god so awesome)

I don't really have a definite goal in this game. I design ships that have gimmicks but are pretty much pointless, such as retractable cannons.

I am also interested in anything that's a vehicle, strangely.

Heya! I'm Azurite (or "Cullen" if you want to be formal).

I'm a 17 year-old dude, living the high life in Nashville, Tennessee. I used to only lurk around and occasionally chat but recently, I've started work on some texture packs and such and have become a pretty frequent face around here. I'm not as much a player as I am an artist (sounds pretty pretentious, I know).

My favorite color is blue (duh). I'm a dog person (hatters gonna hat). I'd consider myself a reasonably nice and funny guy. In real life, I'm a wannabe hipster (coffee shops, thick-rimmed glasses, the whole deal) and an aspiring music producer, but I mostly stay inside, curl up in a blanket and intronetz my day away. Also going to college soon.

So anyway, if you ever see me around, feel free to say hi. I won't bite. Take care, peace out Girl Scout, etc.

Hello, I am Mr.Cuddlesworth but please call me Trey!
I'm 17, from London, originaly from Oregon USA

I have been playing Starmade for a few months now and have been lurking on the forums recently and have chosen now to show myself. I would love to play on a server although due to my internet connection it's completely offline play working on projects. I started off with big Ambitions, but my imagination wrote a check my PC couldn't cash, so now I'm starting off small.

I head the Nubeculae Magellani Warship Design Bureau, dedicated for now Entirely on ships from the game 'Infinite Space' and my goal in Starmade is to build every single ship and fighter from that game, as well as release my own personal designs.

I like many Shows, movies, games, food, people, music etc. I like pretty much any kind of music under the sun.

I watch almost anything that is interesting to me, i.e; Anime, MLP, CSI, Star Trek, Cooking shows, etc etc my absolute favourite of which being NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service)

My favourite colour is Purple, because it is a mix of Blue and Red which I cannot pick one over the other so one settles for the compromise. I hope to join the Armed Forces once schooling is done. My favourite food I will say Clam Chowder. Favourite Airplane is between SU-27 (With all sub varients) and F-117 as I had family who helped design it (No bias here)

It's pretty early in the morning here and I've not slept yet so I will end here. I hope I may turn a few heads with my creations in the coming days.

Hello Starmade citizens, and the few pirates floating about. Figured I needed a cheesy intro.

Been playing Starmade for about 5 months now, recently came on to these forums and have been quiet. I have played on the 'big' servers and I enjoy PVP quite a bit. The challenge of designing a wonderful ship, meeting a foe head on and crushing them with both pilot and design skill is an amazing feeling.

I am also working on bringing up a very ambitious public server that will hopefully give PVP a purpose in this game, it will actually be the third Starmade server I have built/worked on. Not going to spend too much time talking about that but its in the server announcement area (but in the purely teaser stage, not open yet).

Hello everyone, I'm Circuit an avid gamer, just started playing StarMade and I've been having a blast. A friend of mine introduced me to StarMade the other day and being an avid fan of sci-fi entertainment it drew me in. I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks Schine and everyone for their idea contributions for making something fascinating.

    Hello to all!

I have racked up an absurd/impressive/depressing number of hours playing solo creative due to lack of decent internet in my current domicile, but hope to hop on some multiplayer stuff after moving in a week or two. Current plans for the game include finishing up a WIP and sharing some ships with the good citizens of the web.

Now that school is ending and my last free summer begins, I hope to spend it getting jacked, running absurd distances, playing with oh-so-fun firearms, and building a set of four to five ships, built and balanced with each other for some good ol' fashioned tall-ship style maneuvering and broadsides.

Thanks to those who built this fine game, and also to those users who have created all the flying, exploding, missile launching, turret-festooned works of art in the shipyard. Always inspiring stuff to be found there.
