Woke up this morning and decided to build myself a scanner room, went and plugged in one of Holycookies directional scanners and, well, something's off here lol. Should have gone bigger D:
nice to see what ways people are using slabs since they're still relatively new, they really let you tighten up interior details a lot
wedge slabs or riot
For industial looks, I found it was key to have grating everywhere, and underneath that have yellow or orange charged circuits snaking along with your path, and then black standard or black hull to get that "endless bottom" effect. Also lots of greeble and pipes everywhere. And to not have many large open spaces, if you have pipes crossing through your hallways, it doesn't make sense to waste space on the ceiling height!
Have been working on a sith empire interior copy paste template. Didn't make any progress recently though. I should really pick it up again. Exspecially now with slabs ^.^

I tried to puzzle out why your stuff looked so much better than mine, then I realized it's because massive corridors give more space for awesome things, a principle I sadly can't make use of in most cases.

No, because otherwise I'd end up with... a probably-lopsided box... with armor plates and engines slapped on along with various pods and extensions for systems. I don't like building huge boxy hulls, so it's either wrap interior around exterior or wrap exterior around interior.
