Passing through blocks in ships forward.

in the image that is linked you will see a line of blocks with blue lights on the end. when I leave the bay, as an astronaut, I can pass through the bar. not the whole length though. if you see where it just begins to be just single blocks i would say it begins there. I can pass through the...

Passing through blocks in ships forward.

For some reason I am passing through blocks at the front of my ship. My core, is at the moment, above everything else on the ship. the bays are built below and forward of the core. These are the first things that have been built, but now I am noticing this issue. So far... 606.586 blocks 397...

      Awww C'mon

Update: Moved to another sector. Everything is back to normal. No explanation, but I'm happy. It may be time to start a new game. -- nope, I was in flight mode once I exited. 151% cpu use.

      Awww C'mon

With the previous update things were great. Standing still my CPU was ay about 62%~84%. I could approach planets again. I could even land on planets. It was great. then today I saw that there was an update. My gut told me not to do it, but I did it anyway. Today after updating... standing...

      Mining computers and PlexStorage Containers

"...pirates and player pirates destroying them for their cargo enroute or while collecting." Which, I'm sure some of the more prepared, hardcore players would welcome as a challenge. I can see some less than sporting players taking advantage though, and it become excessive, but I'm not so sure...

      Mining computers and PlexStorage Containers

Tired of your player inventory filling up with space rock, lava and sand? me too! The solution? select your mining computer with "c" and then any PlexStorage container with "v" and everything you mine will go into that container instead of your player inventory. Great idea huh? yeah I know...

Bug So, just thought I would throw it out there, update slows bigger builds

Yep... another update and yet another performance hit. I already did what I could using the tips in the sticky "people with slow computers" and got my CPU usage down from 128 doing nothing but moving around as astronaut, to getting in a ship, moving through sectors, and experiencing the frequent...

Is there a setting for the planet size?

Is there a config setting for switching back to flat planets? ..and yes its like trying to land on a marble. sometimes the landscape ,rocks, cliffs, etc, leaves pretty much no place to land. I admit it. I was all for these roundish (yeah. I know there is a proper name, but cant think of it...

Question to people with AMD gpus

"mhm, now I wish that I had chosen the gtx 770 instead of r9 280x" I feel you. for me, at my "we'll be paying you in warm smiles and peanuts", a new card is going to hard to come by. They chose java as a platform for its portability (I think). Now if they would just put some effort into...

      Dear Devs

"Even if most people won't use it, I think it would be nice option to have." Yep! Cuz who knows what players will dream up and do with it.

      Dear Devs

"There would be no reason at all to defend a planet or station if this was implemented" ...unless you built a factory on a station or on a planet. different play styles, different choices. The choice to build such a thing would mean having it well protected and maybe being on a server where...

Question to people with AMD gpus

I have a radeon hd4250 and running 2 monitors. I have everything set pretty low, if not off in the game settings, including advanced settings. I play the game in 1024x768 window(not full screen). My frame rate varies from decent to very bad, depending on my f.o.v. I've pretty much given up on...

Using the shell script did the trick! I still have mouse lag, but reducing the view distance helps some. the best thing is no more log spamming. Thanks again!!

[Linux] Log Spamming: "Bad File Descriptor" exception

Shadows are already off. The only thing I have on is procedural background. I have turned that off as well and tried again. mouse seemed to move better for the first couple of seconds, but became bogged down again. Still produces the log files of course. I delete and let them populate as the...

[Linux] Log Spamming: "Bad File Descriptor" exception

StarMade 0.1401_20140323_003100 launcher version 9 At 1024x768 resolution and low settings everywhere else, the game managed to produce 83.3 meg in log files in 20-25 seconds from the time I started the server on my Linux box (running Linux mint 16 64bit, 4gig memory, AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640)...
