theres always the escape key. I see no harm in putting the official trailer as the opening movie every time you boot up the game. If people just want to get to the main menu quickly then they can just hit Esc.
no, I mean the logo video that plays every time you start up game. I understand that the option in the main menu most likely wont be there in the full release but since I was able to change the short logo video into somewhat of a opening cinematic for the game is what im getting at
I've did some testing on the matter and have been able to completely replace the logo video with my entire unofficial trailer. Every time i load up the dev build my trailer plays in its entirety. It gets me pretty hyped to play when i see it before the main menu.

also it appears that the universe selection is indeed bugged. it thinks I have no current world and spawns me into a completely fresh universe. Hot fix?
unless they changed this recently loot cloud sizes are based on the mass of the pirate ship. Larger pirate ships will spawn larger loot clouds. in fact some massive pirate ships have been known to spawn such incredibly large loot clouds that it lags the server.
