The problem what i see is not lore related, but with the general low fire rate and the current mechanics the power requirements (storage, not recharge) are pretty high, even with cannon slave
I would say that those slow firing cannons (with nova slave) is pretty close to photon torpedos. I kind of like missiles as the one weapon systems without extreme power needs...
Also, you can now link lights to your weapons instead of putting them under the cpus

Is there any post/info regarding future balancing? Since in the dev builds the shield systems got a somewhat surprising change and there has been long talk about hull changes....
All i have right now are some sketches and measurements. My few experiments with SMEdit never went well, but if you have a 3D modell maybe it would be worth another trial.
The Corax was the last ship i bought just before i quit EVE and i really like the aesthetics (and those fine missiles :D)...
keptick yes, shields all the way, i like the look but actually i try to "save" as much hardened hulls as possible.

Turret trials have been set on hold because of technical difficulties. Plans are for a variety of armament options for the small defensive turrets.

One question regarding balance: I know that the Missile with Beam slave is not working yet, but will there a be minimum threshold of beam arrays needed for missiles becoming smart missiles?

The Slave systems could work pretty similar to the other weapons: more range, faster ticks, shotgun effect...

but honestly: getting that well balanced will be very hard... what are your plans to balance small fighter and big capital weaponry? Right now even a single block cannon has a 1000m range, will that stay that way?
