      Missiles n' Torpedoes

Missile hitpoints for block-based missiles would have to be handled by the missiles' designers by using shields or armor. If we could set a turret to target a specific missile after it is launched, think about the possibility of a torpedo that receives shield supply from the ship that launched...

      Re: Chairs

If anyone was wondering, this isn't in the wrong forum. It's just a fun way of suggesting that we'd really like to have a modeled chair we can sit on. It doesn't need to do anything besides that yet, and a low seat back is okay.

      Missiles n' Torpedoes

What exactly is wrong with this sort of suggestion? With a system rework in the oven and a weapon rework around the corner, this is the time to discuss what we want. Cool. So about 8 blocks seems to work for a light missile? Both large and small ships can utilize this bonus. Yes, large ships...

      Missiles n' Torpedoes

It would be more interesting and add an additional layer of design if all missiles were block-based. For this to work I believe it should be possible to make a fully functioning light missile with about four blocks, otherwise they'll be too large for small fighter-bombers to carry any...

      Missiles n' Torpedoes

Hello! If you've got a constructive argument against ammunition that we haven't all heard a million times, I'd love to hear it. <sarcasm> What? NOOOOO! Don't ever make maintaining ships a real challenge!!! </sarcasm>

      Missiles n' Torpedoes

I would like to see one of two things: Buff missiles and require ammunition for them. Remove current missile systems and improve mechanics for guided warhead torpedoes. (might actually be better) Why? This makes missiles more unique from other munitions. Manufacturing and storing the...

      Are USD really USD?

Pickup rail reverse-docking is an exploit that needs to be fixed.

Crew as a way to limit turret/drone spam, encourage warfare, and induce maintenance costs

Starmade really is turning into quasi-RTS from the look of things. That does set the game apart from other space sandboxes out there, but I'm not sure if it does so in a good way. Time will tell I guess.

      Logic System Rework

Sure! Why not? Being able to resize the grid or make different sizes would be great.

      Logic System Rework

That's definitely one way to do it, although I think the grid-based system would be more elegant (and at least to me, more immersive). The key is keeping it simple enough visually that you can see what's going on. Logic blocks in a 3D space don't do that terribly well in my experience. That's...

      Logic System Rework

I originally thought you were talking about adding a single block that receives multiple inputs, applies AND or OR to the inputs, and then outputs the result to multiple locations. I think you're saying that we should be able to hook single-input devices to multiple inputs and have the block...

      An Immersive Astronaut Weapon/Item System

We definitely need varying quality levels. Quality levels are more suitable for astronaut weapons than for ship blocks because there are better options for making the high-quality items rare. Having to find them in ruins would be one way. Another would be making them via resource-intensive...

My two cents on encouraging PvP conflict in a stagnant universe

Agreed. Starmade flight/combat has always been weird.

      Logic System Rework

Yeah, one of those would be nice, but we would need to make it easier for the layman to understand. All we have for timers is those half-second delays... We at least need 0.25 second delays if not 0.1 second delays. Being able to click and drag a delay repeater into a processor and set its delay...

      Are USD really USD?

Once NPCs are relevant, their use of USD ports will be meaningful. Maybe then more people will use them. I already try to incorporate them into my designs if I can. It makes docking on my stations easier.

      Get Rid of Ship Cores

Wow. That's how little the core matters? Why are they still immovable then?

      Logic System Rework

The only devices from the current game you can implement with one input and one output are the NOT and the flip-flop. We... already have this? You can connect as many items that you want to the AND and the OR signal blocks as you want. How is this any different from the current logic system...

      Logic System Rework

That would solve logic taking up space and weight, but then we'd still have the confusing mess of C+V'd together gates and crap. I would prefer the immersion of simply combing a large amount of stuff into a single, perhaps visually-appealing block.
