      Vulkan is a new tool that allows more raw access to the video card. It's possible for it to be better, but only after extensive work. A metaphor might be like. Open gl is buying a mostly built engine, and vulkan is buying all of the raw materials to build the engine.

      It sounds kinda like lag. Have you tried making it into synchronous logic with ands and a single clock? Also there are ways to generate very fast clocks, but I believe they lag. Others can comment on that.

      Probably, but even if you/still can it's good gameplay to have it blip out during cloak.

      It should definitely be a setting, but there is one more issue before you transport out. A ship decloaks when you leave it.

      I'm not quite sure how chairs are gonna work but I would love to have a pilot view as another option to build mode and flight mode. In pilot mode camera centers on the characters head then holding ctrl or alt would allow you to look around like a person, but then to still be able to fly by...

      This might be OK for an isanth, but not much more. I'd probably make it wider and do cannon/cannon/explosive, or one of Lecic's combos.

      I've been reading up on how deferred lighting works. You "should" be able to render many lights like that since you render per pixel instead of per light per vertex.       It depends, but any arbitrary limit might be odd for immersion, but if he's using more defered rendering you should be able to do many many lights. The problem becomes RAM actually.

      I suppose failures is the wrong word, but as another developer its great to see funny stuff. I just played with creating all the shapes of starmade in Unity and allowing them to rotate. Boy did I have issues with textures. Things like that would be awesome!
