Atlantis, the lost city of Ancients.

Here\'s the trick: make a special texture pack specifically for the city. will go a long way towards making it outstanding.

Playing graphically-intense games on a 4 inch wide screen sucks monkey cajones.

      Stats?

except for fighters sucking. seriously though, consider this. shielding is based on \'mass\' (Block count), not \'volume\'(Size). If you have lots of extra space, it is not truly wasted, because that is a place that is NOT filled with blocks to attenuate your shielding. As far as decent...

When your graphics card is too old, but its not.

Intel is firmly in bed with microsoft. All microsoft games use Directx. I am certain that Micro$haft has let them know, in no uncertain terms, that if they support a competing standard (OpenGL) they are truly up the proverbial stream of fecal matter without a propulsive method. I never buy...

Craver Shipyards - Current project: Carrier. Daily updates!

Mind if I steal the idea for the pods? I have been looking for a way to make cryopods for the...well...invisible crew :)

Atlantis, the lost city of Ancients.

actually, if you look at places like Pixelart, you can build a surprising amount of detail by \'faking it\' with macro-pixellation of blocks. People have been doing that in minecraft for quite a while now. Up close it might not look so good, but from a distance, you can make those towers look...

      On a lighter note...

Thanks, I was getting a little tired of everyone posting nothing but enormous titans and billion-credit motherships. I figure a set of themed \'general purpose\' ships might be helpful. Working on the next one now. The texturpack is a combination of my special textures and Kupu\'s texturepack...

      On a lighter note...

I have been designing some new ships based on star frontiers/traveller miniatures from the 80's. They have a distinctively chunky, busier exterior Also I wished to showcase Kupu's new texture pack. The first design is the Yankee Trader design stats: 3 twin Armadillo Armaments turbolasers...

Atlantis, the lost city of Ancients.

I would probably have made the city a \'station\', and steal the atmosphere bubble from a planet to make it in. But that\'s just me. Be on guard against pirates, or turn them off, or else you will be logging on very, very angry about your city getting trashed.

      Worst recipe ever?

not to mention when you \'find\' a recipe for...say...a faction block, it sorta sucks to sell it for half cost, try to sell the blocks it makes, and discover you are suddenly at the currency cap from zero.

      Am I the only one?

Powerful? based on the actual caloric release and megawatt requirements of things accomplished in the show, your TNG enterprise would have two 50 block entimatter cannons, about 200 shield blocks, and a 12 block dumbfire missile. Not exactly what I would consider \'powerful\'.

      Fast Scout Ship

At less than 10k, all ships in starcraft look like metal balls with junk sticking out. I just use a single core, one power block stuck on the front and one engine block stuck on the back as a scout.

Wow, your Nova looks absolutely nothing like mine.... Then again, That\'s probably because my Nova is the Hapan Confederacy Nova class Assault Craft.

[WIP] [Titan/Calbiri] My First Capital Ship - StarCraft BattleCruiser (+ some other ships)

I tend to figure about thirty mil as the \'Hard Cap\' for server ships, including all turrets and fighters. Any bigger than that and people will go out of their way to turn large sections of your ship into rapidly-expanding gas while you are offline. Much smaller than that, and you tend to get...

      Texture Pack,

I do kinda gotta admit I have already modified the heck out of your texture pack for my own use, including installing 2d textures for shop graphics and dropping the resolution on everything down to 128 (I use a special program designed for 3d low-poly modelling UV reduction that has an...

      multiple ship cores

I already do this. You still need to have the large \'core ship\', but \'docking\' things like wings, additional segments, and the like adds playability to the design, especially if you do not care for using actual fighters (recovery sucks) If you set the bobby correctly, the \'additional...
