      Texture Pack,

I actually suggest the 2d tile... for two reasons: 1. You can tell better what something is than when scaled down and 2. Because as a texture pack artist, I know that doing all the 3d block images is a stone-cold bitch, and generally doesn\'t look all that great when you are finished. The...

[WIP] [Titan/Calbiri] My First Capital Ship - StarCraft BattleCruiser (+ some other ships)

Okay, I have decided that the REALLY big ship builders are all completely insane. hehehehe. I just spent nearly three days designing a cruiser with 2 fighter bays and 4 turbolaser batteries, and it\'s only slightly larger (apparently) Than one of your large turrets. It\'s primary wingspan...

      DJXII's Pirate Fleet Diversification Project

I would rather stay away from genre-specific ships for my pirates, as well as \'hyper-efficiency\'. Players HAVE to have some sort of advantage, after all, especially since pirates tend to \'pack\' rather than 1 on 1 battles. What sizes/scales are you looking for for this project?

      Shield Blocks; Consider This

The thing is, I see that in the way shields are RIGHT NOW. The new system. Previously, all damage would have to be done by a capital ship, since only sustained fire by a capital ship would be able to keep shield regeneration from refreshing a capital ship quickly beyond the ability of smaller...

      Individual Shield "Cores"?

You could always group shield blocks into \'plates\', WITH a ship core and power supply, and mount them on docking or turret plates on the outside of your ship. This has the advantage of allowing you to alter your positioning on nearly-exhausted plates to bring fresh plates to bear against enemy...

      stolen ships

I am curious as to where/when ship theft of this sort has occured. Please give examples, as well as the names of the original author and the subsequent reposting author claiming original work, so that the site admins can take appropriate action. I have not actually seen this occur, so please...

So... what IS there to do in this game?

one of the better options is to enhance your local pirates. give them a large variety of ships to play with (The pirate project shows promise) and then spend your time (Like in minecraft) creating bases to hold them off. There are obviously ways to make things easier, such as adding faction...

      AMC Data

The interesting part about the chart is that it shows that for SMALL anti-fighter guns, no more than 5 antimatter blocks in a cluster are required to completely destroy a single structural block. so, in order to maximize shielding, destroy a nice cluster of blocks, still maintain a decent turn...

[WIP] [Titan/Calbiri] My First Capital Ship - StarCraft BattleCruiser (+ some other ships)

Why no sloped blocks on the exterior? It adds a certain kazamm to the appearace.

      Recipe System is a Miss

Just so long as it leads to bank after bank of beeping, buzzing, flickering factory arrays, with the potential for conveyor belts, pipes filled with glowing, pulsating fluids, and jacob\'s ladders to satisfy the mad space scientist in all of us, I will be happy.

      Shields vs AM balance

I KNEW I wasn\'t the only person sick of seeing half-kilometer capships floating around everyplace on a server and destroying all the fun.

Any way to actiave ALL the turrets on my ship at once after spawning it?

Some of the larger ships have upwards of 200 turrets. That has GOT to be lots of fun to activate :P

Is the money limit not big enough?

heh, well, I don\'t tend to have much non-armor interior structure :) I guess that\'s a good reason not to use \'lavalamps\' as well :)

Does Anyone Know Of A Turbolaser Blueprint? Help Is Appreciated.

What are the exact dimensions? I have something I use that\'s pretty close to a turbolaser, but stuff like the \'bouncing\' barrels (impossible in starmade) excessive power in very little room are not really on the menu. Pictures might help. Virtually any antimatter cannon turret that has more...

      Recipe System is a Miss

I dunno, I sorta like the idea of having a whole lot of factory blocks...I want that space in a big station to have MEANING, and the more subsystems available to fille that gigantic, hollow shell, the cooler it looks.

      Shield Blocks; Consider This

I don\'t consider star trek standard \'starship wars\' fiction. truthfully, star trek technology is a complete outlier, since fighters don\'t even exist. There are only two real classes: capital ships and shuttles.

      Shield Blocks; Consider This

Then again, I think that the shield change has made \'titanic\' ships less attractive, which was, I think, the point... 200 block long structures lag the servers, are overpowered, drain huge resources, and are not much fun to fight. The point behind the shield change was to make these bricks...

Is the money limit not big enough?

people who use ice crystals or light blocks heavily in construction can break the bank even on large (not titanic) sized ships. As can stuff with lots of armor. Considering that rock and other asteroid and planetary materials are apparently just as tough as hull blocks, at a fraction of the...

That\'s why chain docking still isn\'t implemented... it\'s extremely exploitable.

      Shield Blocks; Consider This

@rmooney01- shields are all in the same \'bank\' regardless of physical contact. Turrets and docked ships however have their own shields. People have had great success with creating shield sub-connections. when chain docking is implemented, I suspect we will see a great deal more \'modular\'...
