      Exactly. Imo the game needs some ways to perform sneaky operations and stuff. Would be kinda boring without it, and not realistic at all.       in my case, my shields didnt even drop, since the recharge was strong enough. so my shields were at 100% all the time, still it displayed the 13%

      dude, just read the ingame description of the ion defensive effect... not at all making assumptions, just reading correctly ^^ the starmade wiki doesnt mention the penalty though, maybe it's just an artifact in the decription of the block. The text i mentioned can be found in the INGAME...

      im really not sure, didnt test it enough tbh. afaik ion worked liked that before defensively. not sure, if changes have been made. its no big deal to turn off an effekt once shields are down usually. ofc, sometimes you might lose your missiles' lock to do so etc. so, if someone can like 100%...
