No, They should not change hulls. The hulls work exactly as they shoulf in a block based game. You want more armor, you make your hulls thicker. Remember this is alpha. There will undoubtedly be more kinds of armor hull blocks in the future.

I like it how it is, however, I would like the planets to be half spheres with the landscape on the \"flat\" side. Having the flat underbelly is fairly ugly IMP and once ores become more valuable and useful, it would feel cheap to just salvage the underside of the planet.

Depends on if the station is saved as its own file then loded up, or generated when the sector is generated. If the former, then its a matter of swapping out the file with a new station file. If the latter, then too bad, so sad.

Yeah, I think a better solution would allow camera rotation when in a ship, have the docking laser be based off the current view point/cockpit rather then the core, center the ship based on the bounding box, and allow setting the orientation for the docked ship.

Define \"simple\"? In order to get that information, the server has to give it out. Last I checked, there is no setting to allow such a query in the server configuration file.

How would you do missions for a group that hates you so much, they shoot on sight? Once the game is more fleshed out, I can see the possability of causing AI factions to become perminantly hostile to players, as with player shops now negating the mandatory need for NPC shops.

There are so few animations in the game as it is, I highly doubt turning off a handfull will improve performance much at all. Your cause of lag was more likely the massive ship, not the animations.
