      Here's a good looking turret: Has two outputs, 90 degree incline, no depression but that's not needed with the cone of fire. The only thing that's annoying is that the turret will drag on the ground when it tries to aim down too much, which will prevent it from rotating (stupidly enough).

      There is no hole, the turret and rotation mechanism aren't physically touching and are separated by hull. That's why I mentioned that it's a bit cheaty :p. I'm kinda surprised that no one else has been doing this to be honest.

      Here's the one I know No. However, push pulse will push players away enough that it's impossible to get closer (and damage them). If the pulse does enough damage, yes. No. No idea where you got that idea. Space is space, sea is a large body of water (not as large as an ocean though). Nope.

      Blocks don't have to be physically connected, right? So isn't it possible to have the rotation mechanism inside the ship with the turret sitting flush on the hull (without actually touching the rotation mechanism but being part of the same entity)?. I haven't messed around with rails myself yet...

      hahaha, I wish I could help you with that. I consider myself to be decent with logic, not as good as you or the users you enumerated though. My favorite is automation, so drone launch mechanisms (with racks), fully automated gravity tube network, etc... I can't wait to start messing with rails...
